With the new year, comes a new list, as we update the Top 10 Requests lists! There's been quite a few items ticked off since last time, so the Refugees, AWI cavalry, and Fuzzy camelry have all gone now. There's always something to replace them though, so here's the updated lists!
Top 10 Ranges:
1. 'Chaotic' Warriors
2. War of 1812
3. Indian Mutiny
4. 1920's/30's Gangsters
5. Mongols
6. Picts - NEW ENTRY!
7. Fantasy Bears
8. Aztecs
9. Boxer Rebellion - NEW ENTRY!
10. Napoleonic Wars in India
So, only a couple of new entries here, with the Picts picking up quite a few votes over the last couple of months. The Boxer Rebellion has been teetering on the edge for a whle, and couple of new votes pushed them into the Top 10. As for progress on these, we're working on sorting a deal to take care of No.1, and then No.2 will be getting done as part of the Naps extension. No.3 is something Dave wants to do, but with the designer tied up with Naps and WWI for the rest of 2013, we won't be able to fit much more in unfortunately.
And, Top 10 Items:
1. 'The Walking Dead'/Zombies
2. Dark Ages civilians
3. WWII Italian artillery
4. 19th C. Bersaglieri & Garibaldini - NEW ENTRY!
5. Celtiberian Warband
6. SYW Ottoman's - NEW ENTRY!
7. Humber LRC - NEW ENTRY!
8. WWII Russian 37mm - NEW ENTRY!
9. Werewolves
10. Vietnam Radio Op's - NEW ENTRY!
This list has seen quite a bit of change, and with a load of new votes, we now have five new entries in the Top 10 Items. Progress on this lot should be swift, as we've got a load of Techno's zombies coming soon, along with the Celtiberians being done as part of the Ancients resculpts. Some WWII artillery has been knocking about at Pendraken HQ for ages now, so we'll be getting those done as soon as we possibly can. Also due to be done is the Humber, which is on mart678's list of vehicles.
If anyone would like to compare these new lists to the previous Top 10, it can be found here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,5463.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,5463.0.html)
So, let us know what you think of those, and we'll do our best to get them onto your tables as quickly as we can!
:D
The Indian Mutiny will go down well in West Somerset - need to make sure that one gets high priority for 2014 then...and find other distractions until then!
Definitely also up for some Chaos, Gangsters - and probably Picts...consider SteveJ, TinyTerrain & Serotonin spectacularly bad influences on me...them & their Dux Arse Bellorum shenanigans ;) ;D
Those new zombies are a must too - and would go well with werewolves 8)
I like the sound of gangsters too - could use them for VBCW. :)
Someone, anyone, above the rank of colonel to lead the 1809 French ...
... and a guy loading a musket who at least can speak French. It's late. I'll shut up, now.
QuoteDux Arse
=O =O =O =O =O I will NOT be able to get this out of my head now when talk about the rules set!
Sigh.... :(
Another vote for Indian Mutiny please - I was thinking of trying to throw something together this year from existing packs, but, if it's looking good for 2014, I'll wait.
War of 1812 would be fascinating - as mostly variationsof the stovepipe/belgic shako with few cavalry or artillery would be able to get started after only a few packs
French Rev/Nap wars in India quite the reverse with many local and overseas troop types in a variety of dress would be needed to get it started. We all know the problem of the League of Augsberg range with wonderful figures of infantry but until some cavalry/draggons which accounted for 30%+ of troop types is largely not a going concern
Nice to see 18th cent. Ottomans make the list. What is the likelihood of these being sculpted?

Well they're up there for now, so it's a good possibility. We're stretched for spare sculpting time at the moment, but we'll see how many of the Top 10 items we can get done through 2013.
8)
Nice to see the WW2 37mm Soviet weapon up there. I take it it's the AA gun? :-bd

+1 from me and for the French Nap officers
I'm voting for 1870 French Guard Artillery limber drivers. How come the dismounted Chasseur a Cheval messenger got replaced by the already existing general holding a despatch in the Napoleon III command group?
Those are in the queue to be molded! ;D
Warsaw Pact infantry ;)

Great question! Come on guys, let's pluck the low hanging fruit. Limber riders and extras are a quick win. Evey range should have these with their artillery figures as a matter of course. Nappy Guards and 1866 Austrians are top priority!

Hear Him!
I'd love to see the Picts shunted up the que. Any idea if they will become a reality this year? :-\
India is good but around Arthur Wellesley's first tour of duty please :P
Italian artillery, hooray! Ottimo!
Indian Mutiny +1 from me
Nice to see the WW2 German Schwimwagen, but also in another domain the war in Iraq.

I'm informed that the 1866 Austrian artillery riders should be with us "within a couple of weeks". No doubt Phil will post pics in due course. :)
Errrrrr..... :-[
Yup !....should be starting on them pretty soon Ray. ;)
Cheers - Phil.
Though I'm not playing ancients these days, I have to point out the crying need of a Thracian peltast (which means cloak, buskins, crescent shield, and a fox-skin cap, not a helmet) and a Greek thureophoros equivalent. Greek, Macedonian, and Achaemenid armies are crippled by the lack. As indeed are Thracian ones.

Any chance of some updated Tents for Medievals. How about some Medieval baggage train carts, horses etc? Or Medieval Italians.
Just asking ;)
Jason
I'll add my three'apence to the Picts and C18th Turks, but I'd still like to see the Macedonians and Successor states figuring.
But the renaissance Turks pass for 18th century anyway.....
Now Warpac infantry......
IanS
But the Falklands Argentinians pass for Warpac troops anyway.....
Now Macedonian Successor .......
:P
+1 for 7YW Ottomans (with a few extras to cover the napoleonic wars if possible)

More WW2 Resistance / Partisans figures, especially female ones. Preferably in civilian clothing but armed. We can also use them for VBCW then.

I'm about to send in an order, much of which is VBCW, SCW, French Partisans and actual WW2 Russians all destined to become Russian partisans. At the rate I paint Pendraken will probably have produced proper figures before I get mine painted :)
Now that we have (almost) the full Falklands range, i need some others for my Royal Marine to fight. As you are doing T55 and PT76 tanks how about a small range of 'generic' Warsaw Pact or 'African' infantry with AK47 etc. That would open up 1980s cold war in Norway (RM vrs Soviet Naval infantry) and the whole spectrum of African wars!!
Rob
Wouldn't you like a nice Centurion tank to go with that? :D
;D ;D ;D ;D
Like the new signature fsn.
Cheers - Phil
"How can I convince Leon that Mongols used Centurion tanks?"
No Mongols used - BT-2 and T54/5, as well as B-10 and T-26........
They didn't even face Centurions - the Romans were long gone by their time.
IanS
How about that well known Mongol siege weapon the M1931 B-4 203mm tracked .... err .... trebuchet :)

Doesn't have to be true - I just have to convince Leon to include the Centurion tank.
It's not going to work, is it?
Nope.
Wot Lemmey said. ;)
Cheers - Phil
Ah well. points for trying?
Nope, 'fraid not. ;)

Yep VERY trying.......
So... errr... about those Picts? Are we any closer to seeing them this year?

Not this year I'm afraid, everyone's busy on WW1/Naps/Mongols/Ancients for now!
So the Centurion is going in with the Mongols then?
a mongol-centurion-aztecs.. ?
I don't understand what you're talking about :-\
sorry, I could'nt resist ;)
OOOh,
Boxer Rebellion,
That would tempt me alot.
Is there anything new for " 7. Fantasy Bears", "1. 'The Walking Dead'/Zombies", "2. Dark Ages civilians" and "9. Werewolves" ?
Thx
Lots of zombies - see the Sci-Fi section.
And this year's painting competition (I think).
Cheers - Phil
:(
Would love to see the gangsters, and the classic cars to go with them, I want to play boardwalk empire!
Isn't it time we had a new Top 10 for 2014 on a new thread?

I see the appeal, but surely this sort of individual-base semi-RP game lends itself to one of the bigger scales?
Updated Top 10 Requests coming soon...! :D
Well - it is only JUNE.....
IanS
Actually closer to July.
As always sarcasm lost on the geographically challenged........
IanS
Can I put in a request for something really, really, really easy to make.
Cheers - Mr Lazy
I'm trying to think of something real complicated for you Phil

Many Aztecs would be identical below the neck; the same body, limbs, and weapons could be used with different heads. Just mentioning it.
Who let HIM in........check immigration quickly.
