Superb, how did you do the steeple? :D
Awesome!
Excellent ! 8)
Cheers - Phil.
Thank you for the compliments. The church steeple is built up with a cardboard skeleton included (as templates) in the papercraft kit. It is made of a horizontal octagonal base and a vertical crosspiece in the shape of the steeple. Then four more "ribs" are glued into the corners of the crosspiece. And then the tile-print paper pieces are glued over the "ribs".
It is a process that requires more papercraft skills than I possess, not in the least because the kit is quite small. I botched up the first attempt and simply glued another print of tile paper over the first layer to cover up my failures. :-[ I also ommited a number of smaller details like chimneys and roof windows that looked intimidatingly fiddly....
But for freely downloadable kits they are magnificent models
Thet're a handsome set, Pijlie. Very nicely done, sir. 8)
Nice work Pijlie, paper kits are often under rated, yours are good examples of what can be done 8)
Cheers,
