Well, here we go again. Few days ago I opened a thread about missing pics and now that the 2013 painting competition is imminent, I acutally would need them..or at least some most basic information (i know that the sculpting of these codes is excellent).
soo..
-ww1 french in kepi (F1): do they have bayonets?
-ww1 italian infantry (IP1): do they have bayonets?
-1866 Bavarians (Line in tunic, cap BA7): how many poses?
Thanks ;)
no one? come on guys, someone has to have bought those before. :'(
both ww1 russians and austrians came without bayonet, that's why I'm asking first this time..
Hi J.S.
I was hoping one of the 'big guns' on the 19th Century would help on this one (Cameronian, Hertsblue & Mollinary)... I THINK I have about a half an incomplete pack of the Bavarians, they appear to have one pose, fixed bayonets, advancing; not sure about commands and whether they are included, as they were 'inhetited' from a friend along with my 1866 Saxons. Will double check if I get a chance over the weekend.
Really can't help on the others.
ML
The big guns? I've always thought you have by far the biggest collection for the 1866-1871 perdiod ;)
I guess I'll give them a go and do some headswaps if necessary. That's what I have in mind:

Ahh... but remember, 'All the gear, no idea!' :-[

2 poses in this one: 1 firing without bayonet; 1 advancing with bayonet. Officers also included.

Same as above, 2 poses: 1 firing without bayonet; 1 advancing with bayonet. Officers also included.

-1866 Bavarians (Line in tunic, cap BA7): how many poses?
2 poses: 1 walking/marching, with rifle at 45 degrees over shoulder; 1 advancing with rifle at 60 degrees to the front, bayonet attached. Command is included, in helmet.

Just to add, looking at your picture, the Bavarian's would probably be the best bet. The WW1 French have got a type of coat on which doesn't match your pic, and the Italians are in helmets.
Thank you Leon!
Time to place and order then ;)
Only problem is Bavarian command should be in caps not helmets.
Chad
True, the only helmets if've seen in connection with the 1866 camapign are those here ???:

I'll do some headswaps anyways..maybe I'll also do this picture, Leon's descirption of "1 walking/marching, with rifle at 45 degrees over shoulde" should fit in quite well for this one.
The figure with the rifle over the shoulder is one of my favourites, lots of character. Agree that a command pack in the cap would be really good, and could probably serve as Saxon at a pinch. I think my Saxons need an update.
Mollinary.
I thought I'd just use this thread again instead of starting a new one..
so, RP7: ww1 russian cossack cavlry: do they carry lances?
-RP6 Infantry, greatcoat, fur hat, firing: how many poses and do they have bayonets?
-B3 ww1 beglian frontier guides cavalry: carabines or sabres?
thanks ;)

These are in busby with lances and carbines I believe.
Thank you Leon!
I guess that's the true wargaming-spirit..my latest order hasn't even arrived yet and I'm already making plans for the next order <:-P

No, that would be like i did, having an order in, and ordering some more a week later while the first one hasn't even left the compound ;D
some more questions^^
Do "F13 Tirailleurs Senegalese infantry" look like those unlucky ones here:
or more these chaps ???

Since the FPW zouaves wear kepis I thought of using the new ACW figs for my 1914 army instead..but if those Tirailleurs Senegalese already wear zouave-style uniforms then I'll go for those i guess.
just in case someone's interested: the Tirailleurs Senegalese look like those fellows here:

The FPW Zouaves do not wear kepis, but they do have a turban around their fez.
