Title: Conical Shakos & The Sonderbund War
Post by: streetgang on 09 January 2013, 02:17:15 AM
Reading Ralph Weaver's "Three Weeks in November" about the Swiss Civil War. Thinking of making this a side project in 10mm. Majority of the figures can be pulled from the French Napoleonic ranges (greatcoats, etc.). Some of the Confederation troops were equipped with a more "modern" conical shako:

To find a figure in this type of headgear would be a goldmine, especially if he was in coatee w/ tails and also a variant with greatcoat. This would allow one to field more than just Swiss, but also Neapolitan during the Risorgimento as well.

Any figures available in 10mm that fit the bill? Thanks!
