Title: Christmas Presents
Post by: Nosher on 26 December 2012, 11:33:02 AM
So we had our wish lists but what did we all get?

I had originally hoped to get the Xwing Miniatures game and expnasions but those arseholes at Wayland put paid to that, however those very nice chaps at Northstar came up trumps and an Irish Warband for SAGA, Ravens Shadow Supplement and a pack of Late War Germans with MP44's made it on time :D I also received a tassimo Coffe Machine to help keep my eyes wide open during the long winter months of painting... ;)

My pressies are seen in the terrain thread of mine.
Removing colour from some old figs as we speak and planning my latest painting and gaming mischief  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Couple of DVD's, Black Ops II for the Xbox, loads of socks!  ;D  I picked up a cool little boardgame called 'Bang!' for the eldest as well, so we'll be getting a few games of that in hopefully.

And then of course my annual Xmas/New Year illness, Santa never fails in that respect...!  >:(

I got iTunes and Amazon gift cards as well as good ol' US Currency ($100) which I promptly went to Great Hall Games in Austin, TX and bought a bunch of Pendraken ACW to augment the two ACW orders I placed directly with Pendraken in November and early December.

Got the Kobo Glo e-reader. This is, of course, so that I have something to read in the dark whilst I'm waiting for her train to come in from work.  :(

Hi all
This Christmas was especially good for wargaming presents my long-suffering girlfriend got me buildings from timecast ACW range.  My son bought me buildings from Fieldworks.  My daughter bought me various 1/72 kits.  And my best mate bought me some Pendraken ACW Zouaves.

Take care

Andy

Some 20mm Russians and Germans including heavy weapons from Plastic Soldier.

Non wargaming socks.chocolate, Mad Dogs DVD, Flash Gordon t shirt, my seasonal 2012 slippers and a new watch which is good in water up to 100 meters.

Still swithering to test that it out by leaping off the Tay Bridge. :-\

Mind you I don't know if theTay is 100 meters deep. Knowing me I would land in about a foot of water ;D

In books I got the Osprey Falklands Landforces and Max Hastings The Battle for the Falklands.

The wife asked Santa to bring me Last Night on Earth, zombie board game, which has been great fun. Also got Forbidden Island, you have to work as a team to grab the treasures and escape an island whilst it's sinking beneath the the sea - took a bit of getting used to working as a team though.

And with some of the funds I've ordered Top Malo house from Time Cast.

Top Xmas - thanks Santa  :D
