Title: Caunter Camouflage?
Post by: sdennan on 26 December 2012, 12:53:31 AM
I surrender.

I have spent Boxing Day morning trying to figure it out on the Web and on a A13 in the painting table.

Has anyone got a paint suggestion? I cant seem to get it right.

Hi Simon,
the following links should give you some help, but if you want to do loads the Starmer book is an absolute must as it has all the drawings and good colour chips:

http://www.armouredacorn.com/ncvm%20index.html

http://www.missing-lynx.com/gallery/gallery_britain.htm

It's worth noting that the official drawings were often simplified in the field as in parts they are devilishly complicated!

This is what I went with

Though I think the sand colour is a bit orange. I went with a pale yellow green and a dark grey/green. Frankly there was so much info out there that it becomes confusing rather than helpful. My general take was that blue is wrong.

Blue disproved years ago.

Slate grey; greenish grey colour.
Light grey; as it says.
Stone: a pale yellow-brown colour.
