Been lurking a lot for months now and finally decided to put something up about myself as I intend to use these forums more and more as I progress with severl projects.
In our local 'club', I'm the proponent of gaming anything before AWI. For my main rules (for better or worse) I've settled on FoG in it's different forms.
Projects I've got going include 1st Century Romans and Germanics to face them, and just started working on Spartan and Athenian forces. I hope to order a $150 of 30YW soon too.
Like most miniature wargamers, I've got more unpainted lead than painted, but I have become a fan of line of figures here and the scale. So, color me hooked!
A very warm welcome 'G'.
Glad to have you aboard.
Cheers - Phil.
Welcome gregernest :-h
Welcome on board :).
Hi Greg, welcome to the Forum!

Ay up fella! Welcome t'madhouse!!
Welcome to the forums!
Welcome to the forums :-h
Hello and welcome
Hi and welcome.
Welcome mate!
Any other folks from the Midwest USA out there?
Welcome aboard Greg ;)
Welcome to the Forum Gregernest.
Welcome gregernest. :-h
FoG is very popular. I played it for years. I wouldn't touch it now. Too much fiddle. Too much random (as long as you roll '5's on the dice, pretty much everything else is irrelevant).
DBA 3 is recently out and is a really good update to the DBx stable. Worth a look in my opinion. ;)
Wotcha from me as well.
Greeks against Greeks, eh? I do look forward to seeing some painted piccies. By the way, since Pendraken don't make a Thracian peltast, I'm sure I can mention that Newlines do. And if you want a thureophoros, they can be converted from Pendraken Roman auxiliaries.
Welcome to the zoo. :)
Welcome Mr Nest.
I'm always a bit wary of people who lurk on this forum and then join. It's a bit like people who wander past bar fights and think "hmmm .. that looks fun. I think I'll join in" instead of creeping away.
Still, it's always nice to have more people with a different way of spelling.
Good show on the choice of periods! I think there's a few chaps here who like the League of Ausberg range. Personally, although I appreciate the clippy-cloppy swish-swish and clippy-cloppy pop-pop ages* (and have a range of unpainted hills to attest to this fact), I do like my horse power in an engine.
Anyway, a warm welcome. Leave your reality at the sparkly door, and your coat with Techno (saves time later).
*Pre gunpowder - clippy-cloppy swish-swish
Time of the musket - clippy-cloppy pop-pop
Before mechanisation - clippy-cloppy bang-bang
Mechanised warfare - brmm-brmm bang-bang
Hello and welcome from me.
Don't mind fsn - I gather he can only see things in shades of British army green. ;)
Hey! There are loads of British Army Greens!
But surely there's only Centurion green ?
I've never seen a green centurion!!! :o
Oh, sorry, different thread :-[
Do we all know that the first post in this topic was made on the 24th December 2012?
Still, Hello-ooo :-h
Yeah. Really surprised I missed that one too!
We've 'spoken before' as it were gregernest but, nevertheless, an official welcome from me too!
(you lurked and still you joined this forum?)
welcome to the Forum
Thanks for all the welcomes! :)
Yeah, I re-posted here to see if there are any Pendraken fans in the Midwest yet.
Apparently not! 8)

In the past 12 months or so, we've sent packages to Lawrenceburg and Carmel, so there's folks in the region with some Pendraken goodies on their tables. 8)
Woot! :D ;) 8)
