Poll
Question: Its been a while since we had a poll so as the festive season approaches I began to wonder what sort of things people are planning to do game-wise over the christmas break?
Option 1: None. Will be lucky if I even get a wargaming based pressie votes: 2
Option 2: none. Far too important a time for family and friends votes: 0
Option 3: A little. Maybe an hour or so here or there when its quiet votes: 12
Option 4: Quite a bit of game related activity and maybe a game or two votes: 15
Option 5: A fair bit. There is quite a bit of game time factored into the break votes: 4
Option 6: Loads - club meets will continue, I'll spend other bits of time on those to do lists votes: 3

In my head ;D I have at least two solo games planned on those quieter evenings (Warmaster Medieval and Bolt Action game) and one game a gainst a friend early in the new year (Rules of Engagement)

The club closes this Friday and I am at a work function anyway so the usual Friday game is kaput and the club wont then meet until mid Jan.

On quieter days when others are shrugging off the after effects of hang-overs and too much food I hope to get in some painting time and maybe start the next major project.

It will be interesting to see if my plan survives contact with the family... :o and my own preponderence to over indulge ;D I didn't get the nick-name Nosher from eating lettuce ;)

Our club night is monday so the festive season has b*ggered up face-to-face gaming on Christmas Eve & New Years Eve

So I'll lock myself in my shed and get a couple of solo-games in

Father Christmas will bring me 50 painted 15mm FIW so I can try out Muskets and Tomahawks

And I'm putting on a participation game at the Plymouth show in Feb - Isandlwana in 15mm - so I really ought to think about sorting that out

Christmas period is pretty well booked up with visiting family. We are thinking of going to see The Hobbit on Christmas Eve.
I hope to be getting some wargaming goodies, but not much wargaming time though.

Seeing i have an unpainted lead/plastic pile as big as mount Everest, i think some painting will be involved.  :d

When my order from pendraken arrives, i think i will beat mount Everest though :D

I'll be traveling to my parents so I won't have much time to game or paint. I will be visiting the FLGS for a few purchases though.

I'm not likely to get a club game until January,
However I will get a game or two round a mates house though, and plenty of painting planned!

I would like to think I will get some gaming in, but the reality is I probably won't for the following reasons:

- My regular gamings chums will be tied up with family stuff over Xmas (see below).
- I think I will only have about 3-4 days over the break when I won't be either travelling to see family or spending time with my nearest and dearest.
- I can only game on the dining table and with all the Xmas decorations etc taking up space, I'm not sure if I will be able to grab enough space to set up a game.
- As it is normally pretty hectic at this time of year, I often simply run out of energy to get something organised.

However, I will try and fit in some basing and painting etc, so at least I will feel I have done something over the festive break.

Well I am on Nights from Christmas Eve until New Years Eve, so aprat from Christmas day and Boxing day, I will probably wind down each morning with a couple of hours painting.

Might even take a bit of undercoating or flocking into work for when its quiet (Hope my boss does not read this )  ;D

Planning on getting loads of painting done for Dystopian Wars, well "er indoors" is off for a fortnight then and as when she is not working she tends to hog the PC in the name of online "retail therapy research" I wont be able to waste my time online gaming will I?

A 500 mile round trip to Penzance will scupper any gaming - unless, of course, my nephew gets out the poker table and chips one evening.  m/

I'm working up until close-of-play on Christmas Eve and then off until 7th January - so I'm really hoping to be able to catch up with myself - haven't painted anything in anger for a month  :(

Work / family stuff has been conspiring against my gaming of late as well - but we have got an all-dayer lined up for the Sunday between Christmas & New Year in the pub - so looking forward to that one!  8)

I got a game in Friday night (21st) and hoping to get another in between Xmas Day and New Year. Also hoping to meet up with some friends who are keen boardgamers, so we might also get a couple of games with them.

Got an hour's painting in this morning before the rest of the household woke up and probably will get a similar amount in most days (unless over indulgence the night before forces me to "sleep in"). ;)

Just getting over a nasty virus that has knocked out myself and SWMBO, so zero stuff done over the past week or so. Hopefully tonight I will actually be able to get in the kitchen (this is where I paint etc) and get some more basing done on my 2mm SYW forces. Well that's the plan!

I'm hoping to get a few 15mm zombie skirmishes and the odd WFB game if I'm lucky, failing that I'll try and tackle some painting (I have some vintage GW goblins and some foundry orcs to sort....)

You're damned right there Techno :(. We both can't taste anything and the classic blocked ears means I can hear my wife less than is normal in our marriage. Hmmm, maybe there is an upside to this cold malarkey :-\ ;) :).

Polished off my work about 11.30am today so now, all being well, I'm pretty free until 30th.

My sons are homes from uni/gap year so I hope to get at least one game of HOTT in with them.

I'm also planning to get some painting done - have quite a few Pendraken vikiings and saxons that are half-done.
