Great author, nice guy...from the BBC "5 minutes with..." series:

Just got the new book 'Hydrogen Sonata', I have a large reading backlog, but I suspect this my jump the queue!
Oh, was that topic 5000 Nik? :-\ :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D<:-P =D>
Reckon it was Lemmey...HUZZAH !!
Cheers - Phil.
That was my first inkling that there was a new book out. I liked Surface Detail a lot - it wasn't quite so grim as the previous ones. 8)
Great interview, amazing how much detail he packs into one sentence! Now I'll be re-reading all his books in a Scottish accent though! ;D
My absolute favourite author and the only one who can sell me hardbacks. I just can't wait until the paperbacks are released.
If you like him try Neal Asher too!
And Alastair Reynolds. Terminal World was probably the best sci-fi book I read this year. 8)
Good SF huh? I might look into him, haven't read anything by him, and the last tip I got on this forum, Serenity / Firefly, turned out great, I now own both the movie and the series and am looking for the Margaret Weiss RPG rules.
