Post by: crancko on 13 October 2012, 06:37:33 AM
Hi Leon

could you please help us and tell what references could fulfill with these conponents from your range to play pony wars ruleset?

The complete convention game of Pony Wars is played with

240 US Cavalry figures,
80 dismounted troopers,
Some horse holders,
8 12-pdrs
2 Gatling guns with limbers and crews,
20 Indian Scouts,
20 Volunteer Scouts,
40 US Infantry figures,
2 gun crews and
10 infantry figures for the fort,
the ’Dando’ figure
9 wagons
5 farm wagons,
70 dismounted
20 mounted civilians,
1 gun-runner wagon,
1 stagecoach,
1 war wagon,
character figures of the Lone Ranger and Tonto,
30 Longhorn cattle.
600 mounted sioux
100 dismounted braves,
50 assorted squaws and villagers,
30 Buffalo (one white).

With your new Acw range I was thinking in to use that range for the 7th cav but for the indians I would like to view pics of your indian ranges also.

thanks

The ACW would be the first port of call, and will cover all the US troops, civilians, wagon, etc.  We could pull the Gatling gun from the Zulu range, and the other wagon from the Boer's as well.

For Indians, you'd be better off waiting for the new range to get completed, which we've previewed here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,6048.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,6048.0.html).  I've just received the next batch of masters, which includes the foot, civilians and a teepee!  I'll get some pics of them taken and put up asap.

At the moment, we don't have any definite timescales, but I would expect it to be the start of 2013, maybe the January releases?

There's a pic of the new ACW wagon somewhere, but I can't seem to find it at the moment!

Thanks Leon. Your range is superb!

Finally I got a reply from the author of the show game at Derby. He told me everything was from Pendraken and irregular.

The stagecoach was cratchbuild by them.

Leon any plans on a stagecoach? It will be an excellent complement for the range.

There is a stage coach in the SYW range - may be a bit regal for the wild west! But I think it wouldn't be too hard to make it look at bit more basic.

I was chatting with the guy at Derby about the stagecoach as well, and I think we'll be adding it to the designers list during this Plains War revamp.
