My good friend Pijlie and me enjoyed our first spat of (Thirty Years') war last weekend. Plans had been delayed because of my wife's pregnancy and other trivialities, but we finally came to grips on the kitchen table. The sons of b****** which I promised Leon did quite well, although the game ended in a draw between Pijlie's Swedes and my Spanish.

Fantastic looking ranks. :-bd
I also love the use of sand for roads, it's just a beautifully elegant solution: totally unobtrusive; totally effective =D>
Cheers!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I love the sandy roads. I just scooped it up from a beach. I've also got brown sand (country roads) from my own back-yard and grey sand (tarmac and such) from my neighbour's. The only possible downside is that your roads are not precisely delineated, which might be a bone of contention for rules fascists. Fortunately Pijlie is the consummate gentleman.
Cheers,
Aart
Good stuff Aart 8)
Great work :-bd
Those have a lot of period flavour. Good work.
Nice work, Aart. What rules were you using?

We use Pike & Shotte. We use centimeters for distance, but we give all commanders a command rate of 9 to get things moving. Works very well.

Aart
