Title: L’escadron des Cent-gardes à cheval
Post by: privateer on 28 September 2012, 05:17:34 AM
I am looking for 4 mounted and 4 foot figures to use as the L’escadron des Cent-gardes à cheval. I am basing them on the picture in the Osprey not their formal dress, which they did not wear on campaign.

Any suggestions? I was thinking Napoleonic Dragoon with some modification to the Bicorne and coat

Any suggestions would be good

Privateer,

At the risk of speaking heresy, Wargames South produced a mounted figure of the Cent Gardes in bicorne in 10mm. I believe I still have some unpainted (I used the rest to eke out my French Generals).  If you would like to PM me, I'll look them out and pop half a dozen in an envelope for you, no charge).

Oh, there must be something suitable, but seeing as there were so few of them, and they never saw action...  :-\

Tsk, tsk, tsk.....Heretic !
But if it helps.... I'm as certain as I can be, that Wargames South have sold their 'Naps' to another company now.
Cheers - Phil.

Yeah, that'd be us...  :-[

We've had them for years, but never really did anything with them unfortunately.  One day we'll dig through a catalogue the moulds properly, but the sculpts wouldn't match in with anything else in the ranges now.

Good news, Priv!

A little bit of a rummage turned up a pack of fifteen of the little guys mounted. I'll try and pop them in the post tomorrow. No real ideas as to what you do for the dismounted guys, though.
