That looks great fun.
Reckon I'll enjoy the film far more than I did the book.....Never really got on with that.
Maybe I should try and read it again sometime. :-\

Well living in Wellywood... I've a few mates taking part as extra's... one should be easy to spot he's a Dwarf and in the filming theres only about 5 of them in total. He even gets in some of the scenes with Billy Connelly, so cannot wait to see the film.

Very much looking forwards to this, although i too am wondering how it'll string out over three films.  Hopefully the pacing won't suffer.

Thought it was two, not three films? When did that change?  :o

last month, they announced 3 films, Dec 2012, Dec 2012, early summer 2014

"Still dont know how they are going to keep it going over three films"

They are adding the battle of Dol Guldor where in the book Gandalf mysteriously disappears to "deal with a necromancer" - in fact it's the White Council giving Sauron a thrashing in his fortress at the bottom of Mirkwood - there is so little on this in the books that it gives Peter Jackson a blank canvas to do some nifty story telling, and probably a good battle!  8)

In chronological terms it should appear in the middle of film 2 I reckon, after the meeting with Beorn

Can't wait!

At last.....
Got to watch this.

Sorry Guys and Gals......I fell asleep, I was so 'unengrossed'.
'Spectacliar' (sic).....But was NOT impressed by the storyline.
I'll bet you I'll play it some evening this Autumn/Winter and think it's wonderful. :P
Cheers - Phil.

I thought it was OK, but for some reason the main cast being Dwarves kinda threw me for some reason (I know they have to be Dwarves, before anyone says it!).
