I may have mixed up some figures...
Are the FPW French Spahis dressed as Arabs (turban and cape) with one guy with a lance? I have some figures dressed as such already primed and ready to paint but I put them I found them in my "to do later" pile so I may have mixed them up with TYW figures.
Any help?
Thanks,
Tom
Hi
They are dressed as arabs and one has a standard .

Thanks. I did a number of Google image searches and finally found one of them dressed in the Arab garb from that period.
Pappenheimers and Chasseurs d'Afrique attacking each other? You're in danger of starting another of these absurd fantasy offshoots!

Pics of Spahis - at the back Chasseurs d'Afrique. As you can see very colourful troopers
Oops. Looks like I'm painting the wrong things for the Spahis. :-[
What I have are similar but the cape isnt as flowing, the musket is more toward the right knee and there is no trumpeter or standard bearer (just a guy with a lance). They're close enough to pass as Spahis but that just means I've misplaced the TRUE Spahis figures.
On a happier note, based on your photograph I at least have the correct figures for the Chasseurs d'Afrique! :D
Yep, it's the Croat Arquebusier I have and not the Spahis.

Does everyone know the derivation of our cravat, worn around the neck? Via
Crabat, a Croat, one of the people who brought them west.
