Fellow Members
I have been taken to task for subjecting you to "a litany of other rather unpleasant 'funny jokes'".
Further it appears that some of this litany may have offended some of you, who, like me, have experienced traumatic experiences in their lives; divorce being the case in point.
I would like to state categorically that any posts I have submitted were done so without any intention of offending anyone. If I have done so I can only offer as an excuse that I do not have any knowledge of your personal circumstances, just as you do not know mine, and apologise.
To prevent this happening again, I shall no longer post to this page of the forum. In addition, to avoid any offense on other pages, I shall refrain from any comment on other members' post sand will restrict my future posts to polite requests for information.
I trust this will satisfy all those members previously and unknowingly offended or those I may offend in future.
Chad
It takes a real gentleman to know how to apologise. I salute you, sir.
I can understand where people are coming from, I'm sure the odd joke about other things can be slipped though the net! ;)
keep um coming
some are a bit crap but others make me chuckle. They are just jokes at the end of the day not personal attacks on anyone
Keep posting Chad.
Your last one made me smile, as sadly I do know a couple who argue like that.
I quite like your jokes, but I don't get this one... where's the punchline?
:(
Keep posting!
I've been divorced and still have a sense of humour.. :)
Chad,
I think you're 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater' here a bit mate. :o
I would certainly hope you continue to post whatever you want, wherever you like (with the forum rules).
I'd also suggest that when you post something a bit off the mark, others have the right to call you on it.
Free speech for all I say.
'I may not like what you say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it', etc.
And i'll certainly offer you my reciprocal apology; if i've made you feel like you can't/don't want post here, i'm truely sorry. I've neither the right nor the intention to do that.
I'm also sorry to th wider community for disturbing our otherwise tranquil community waters.
Chad,
Keep them coming. They are just jokes. Most jokes are an observation of generalisations in life. Thats why we recognise the situation and see the funny side of it.
Some may find them near the mark or even be offended because of thier current situation, when their situation changes their perception of the joke is likely to change as well and they then may find it funny. I Know this from personal experience.
I think this is a case of "Caveat emptor " - Buyer beware or in this case Reader beware.
So PLEASE keep them coming. If somebody keeps finding them offensive they don't have to open your post - its up to them. But I will open them all.
Hey
I'm in the process of going through a rather messy divorce after 18years of marriage. Do I find your humour offensive...Noooooooo
Keep em coming, makes me laugh.

Good luck with that, I had the same 9 years ago. All told with loss of house etc it cost me a fortune, Must say it was the best £150K I ever spent ;D ;D ;D
I rather enjoy your postings and so does my wife. :-\
I would certainly miss myour punchy lines should you decide to keep this decision up. Of course it is understood that you did not intend to offend anyone and without criticizing
the feedback you received I wish to point out that sense of humour means you can still laugh besides the drama.....most of all laugh about yourself.
Teutonic greetings from Edinburgh :D
