Heinrich Krampf (1 September 1888 â€" 16 November 1963) born in Würzburg was commander of the 16. Infanterie-Division and the 304. Infanterie-Division during World War II.

At least it's the right period for most of my wargaming...

Never heard of this person, and can't say that I have ever wanted a career in flying, I have quite a bad fear of heights.

Never heard of this person...

I think that's the fun of it - it throws up some interesting characters from history that are lesser known... 8)

Well, that's rather disappointing...

"Nigel Patrick (born Nigel Dennis Wemyss; 2 May 1912 - 21 September 1981) was an English actor and stage director born into a theatrical family."

Two of interest - L.Cpl from WWI awarded a VC in 1918, and an industrialist who played amature rugby, also took part in Boer War.

I got some really interesting ones

Otto-Hermann Adolf Brücker (17 October 1899 â€" 12 December 1964) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several divisions. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

William Montgomery McGovern (September 28, 1897 â€" December 12, 1964) was an American adventurer, Northwestern University professor, anthropologist and journalist. He was possibly an inspiration for the character of Indiana Jones.[1][2]
