Since my Alzheimer's is advancing fast, I went along to the brain shop yesterday to get a replacement. The assistant showed me the first one. It cost 20, 000 and had been ravaged by its previous owner's drinking habit (which was why it was available). Not fancying that, I asked for something a bit more upmarket, and was shown one for 150, 000 that had belonged to a brilliant violinist who spoke five languages like a native and had published significant work in mathematics.
The star offering, however, cost 2, 000, 000 and was warranted to have never been used, having previously belonged to a 40K gamer.

I would have to disagree, while its a given that 40k has as much to do with tactical wargaming as cheddar has to do with shoes, you really do need a brain the size of a planet to remember all the sodding "special" rules. Seems like every unit and character in the stupid game has a "special" rule all of its own.

If you think cheddar has little to do with shoes you obviously haven't come within sniffing distance of my brother's trainers! :o
They've streamlined 40k a lot for the latest version. The quick play rules has been refined down to simply placing your receipts on either side of the board and adding them up, highest wins.

40k in a nutshell: Roll 1D6: 1-5 = the guy with the newer army wins, 6=you roll again.

It's a trade secret; involving a 4 inch nail, superglue, a mahogany table and a complete disregard for any Health and Safety guidelines. :o
Or alternatively a grandparent of the Python species.
