The sun was shining (kinda), there was bugger all on the tellybox, so did everyone get out and enjoy the last Bank Holiday of the year?
:-\
And don't forget, it's only 118 days until Xmas... :o
Well, not really as I'm Korea and Monday meant work :(
However today (Tuesday) was a dayoff due to the worst typhoon in a decade hitting the peninsula.
All I can say is that thankfully I could catch up on study (and a wee bit of paintwork), and when I did have to venture out, at least there's not much left up-top to get blown off.
Wet day at home with the youngest, while the in-laws took the eldest shopping! I started a division of 1870 Prussians and today...
LEGOLAND! :D
Heaving it down, not much to paint, and being harrassed for no reasson by bank + call centre in India >:( >:( trying to sell me cavity wall insulation, I dont 'ave cavity walls, just bullet proof un's. (18" Brick).
so NO

Absolutely wonderful thank you Leon.
Spent four hours canoeing 32kms between Argentat and Beaulieu down the Dordogne with my son in 32 degree temperature. The Kronenbourg in Beaulieu went down rather well at the end. ;)

Or digging a couple of 'trenches' to get rid of excess rain around the barn when your back says "**** off"
A WUT ?
Oh....All right....Two shallow ditches to drain the water away.
Still made my back moan like you know what !! :P
Yep - nice & relaxing (mostly) - dogs walked, kids played, reading done, touch of painting & then some jumping practice for the girls:

Rubber bits to make them bounce if they fall ?

Yep - silica sand arena covered in shredded rubber...it helps with impact [both for horse & falling riders!] and helps make the arena all-weather.
It's here: http://www.stocklandlovell.com/ which is about 20 miles from where we are.

Olympics 2016?
:D
It wasn't a holiday in Bangkok either. But if the rain continues, we'll probably get another two-month enforced break in work soon (as we did last year).
But Tuesday is always a day off for me, and the Zulus are coming along well.

Maybe...more likely 2020 though I reckon ;) ;D
The photo of your son is a perfect illustration of my idea of an english summer :
Shorts but with rubber boots and a hooded top.
Shorts are in case of brutal clearing
(don't know if this is correct, I mean when clouds shred apart to let pass a sunshine).
Not really I work shifts, so I did a 7-7 day shift. Not much fun and not appreciated bt better half. She will be even more miffed at Christmas as I am on 7-7 nights all Christmas week.
However I did get some more done on my 10mm WW2 Polish.
I've been painting SJG OGRE/GEV stuff over the weekend. That and playing a game of BattleTech on Sunday rather made for a nice weekend.
Spent four days in an immobile home (it's got wheels but doesn't move) near Penzance listening to the rain hammering down on the roof. Did get out once or twice. Once to visit St Mawes gun-fort opposite Falmouth. Also did a lot of driving, some of it stationary. :)
Lots of painting. Unfortunately it was walls and skirting boards. :(
Not really as we didnt have one and then to cap it all the house got struck by lightning three times, actually that was Tuesday... but it blew the phones etc. Was a bit wierd seeing a flash inside the house as it arced in the lounge >:(
