4 bases of 4 figures leaves me with -1 horse. I'd like to use something to denote a command base.
Not thrilled with the ECW mounted command in it's current form.
Any thoughts or inspirations? Know of a mounted command from another period that would work?
Thanks,
Sean
Depends on which side - Charlie was certainly in a coach at Nasby......

sorry.. I should have been more specific.
I'm doing Haselrigge's Lobsters.. so I need 1 more mounted miniature to put on a base with 3 cuirassiers, to denote a commander/musician/banner/etc.
I was thinking that the whole unit was armored, even the guidon carrier.
Shove a mounted General on it EC13, ok he's only in back and breastplate but he'll make the command base stand out.
I'll check when I'm in work tomorrow but EL9 Elizabethan Gendarme with a vertical lance might do as a standard bearer if there is one in the mould
How about a trumpeter? They were never armoured (try inflating your lungs to blow a trumpet with thirty pounts of steel strapped around it!). :o

Unfortunately there is only one pose, charging with horizontal lance, in the mould. Sorry about that.

On the other hand, it's a smashing figure and looks super in my French and Milanese forces. :)
Thanks for checking Gandalf!
I'll look into this EL range and see what else may be possible.
You're welcome
Have you looked as the cuirassier standard from the Malburian range? He's armoured with a lobster pot helmet.
Thanks sunjester, I'll check there too!
