Title: South American Pacific War of 1879-84
Post by: Blaker on 21 August 2012, 04:02:30 PM
Howdy y'all,

Does anyone have pictures of this range?

Does anyone have uniform references for Chile, Peru and Bolivia? (I know of the book at Caviliers too expensive)

Does anyone have any resources for battle OOBs?

Thanks in advance  ;)

There's some display pics in this thread, but I'm not sure on the OOB's, I'll have to check the Resources board for that.

It was a veritable monsoon outside when I was posting that, so not much to be done in a holiday sense!

:P

And it's just started lashing it down again now...  :(

I'm wanting to visit either Rome or Milan in the next couple of years hopefully, for a long weekend.

Welcome to Scotland in the summer

you know its summer when the rain falls more or less vertically

in winter it falls more or less horizontally

and Rome demands at least a fortnight, went for a week and could have stayed a year and still not seen all that I wanted.

I agree. You'll always found something to see in Rome :

- Roma antica (fori, colosseo...)
- Roma Barocca (churchs...)
- Vaticano

Rome can be really expensive, especially if you took tour with "private" guides... But worth it.

Come to Tarquinia as well to see where the Romans took real civilization : From Etruscans.

It would definitely require more than a weekend, but that's all I've got time/money wise really.  We did Paris this year and managed to fit quite a bit in, and I'd like to make it an annual thing, visiting a load of European cities.  At the moment, I've got Lisbon, Berlin, Rome/Milan, Prague, Madrid on the list.
