Anyone know if Pendraken do any cows, I'd accept Boullocks as an answer. :P
It's for a bit of Dark Age raiding games, you know the ones, Arfur shouting "Gerroffff moi Laaand!!!", and the Saxons running away with his prize cows.
I know I should hang my head in shame at that attempt at a west country accent.
If they ever do, I'd like to see some Heelan' Coos* as well...
*Highland Cows, ya wee scunner :-X
I am sure there is a witty sally here along the lines of "What steams and comes out of cows backwards?" But I can't quite smoke it! Not much of a hand at spelling either.
Mollinary. :D
James Herriott? ;D
Can we get this one?

Could be, he had the Isle of Wight Ferry in 05, I recollect! We served together as reefers in the Old Incontinent in 84. :-[

If you need cows now, then you can get them from Irregular miniatures. I've got some them and they are nice.....as well as their sheep.
(sorry to plug a different company)

Well, there is a common interest. I buy from other companies too, but the effect is to make me buy more Pendrakens as well. For example, my Cossack army; I don't think I'd have gone for them on Pendraken figures alone, good though they are, since having all my axemen in one pose doesn't fit my mental picture of fierce Zaporozhians. Since IM makes a few useable figures, however, I was able to mix these in with the Pendraken majority, and so have a very acceptable Cossack host. Similar arguments for Muscovites, Moghuls, Turks. In other words, we all agree that Pendrakens are the Bach of 10mm, but there's room for a Vivaldi and a Couperin as well.
I agree about IM's cattle, btw; use 'em myself in many baggage trains.

Careful what you ask for Luddite ! ;D ;D ;D
(I must post a pic of that tribble with a pickelhaube, that Lemmey hinted at.)
Cheers - Phil. ;)
And why not Emintrude ?
IanS
Because you'll be wanting Brian and Dylan next ! ;D
No - they dont have silly hats.
ianS
Brian does!
So does Mr Rusty and Mr McHenry!
Irregulat miniatures do a good range of animals in 10mm, Cows,Bulls, sheep and horses. so have a look thier. they sometimes have a fair bit of flash but clean up and paint up ok.
****** If your not careful wil the scalpel when cleaning flash you will turn the Bull into a Bullock - Ouch ! ******** :)
Just checked the Irregular site
TMS2 Pack Horse 30p
TMS3 Sheep 15p
TMS4 Oxen 15p
TMS5 Cow 15p
TMS6 Horse 15p
TMS7 Bison 15p
Had some of their 25mm Oxen til couple months ago, they had a harness, but nice models (Pendraken 10mm would be better though)....
IanS
When I've got time...And only if Leon really wants 'em. ;)
What breed ?
I suspect not modern...say thecretan style as on bull running frescos. Also an Oxen type to pull wagons.
IanS
Fair do's Ian....
My guess is ....is if that's something that Leon would find useful/saleable....It might have to be a little generic (especially at this scale).
I've now made up a VERY generic canine shape, which I can use to make into just about anything 'lab/doberman/whatever' height.
I'll need to wander down the road and annoy some of the neighbour's cows by standing 'up close' so I can try and gauge the height I'll need to make this sort of thing.
If I get trampled...It's your fault. ;D ;D
Might have to make A sheep too...I guess that would prove useful for the table top ?
Sheep...No prob.
Don't panic Leon.
I'll do the above for fun....and to see if I can do something like that. ;)
Cheers - Phil (Who doesn't really like making four legged 'thingys'.)
If you're chucking some putty at animals, it'd be great to have all the basics covered:
- Cow
- Sheep
- Pig
- Dog
- Cat
- Chicken
- Goat
- Rabbit
- Goose
...Mouse? :D
Actually, that reads like the menu at our local takeaway... :o ;)
Noted Boss. ;)
I'll be sending 'proto' Fido up in the next batch....
I can make ALL sorts of breeds from that chap.
But not really small ones.
A mouse ?? Pick off the lemming I put on Lemmey's Gobbo mage.
No-one will notice the difference.....apart from the length of the tail. ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil.

You should see the mice we get over here. ;)
Sorry....Mrs Techno says those are rats...My mistake. ;) ;D
Chicken on the go.
Goose on the go.
Rabbit on the go.
Sheep on the go.
And whilst waiting for some putty to set....I've just walked up the road and wandered into a field to take lots of photos of moo cows...To guage the size more than anything else !!....The things I do for my art. ;D ;D
Yes....I did check with the neighbour that I wasn't likely to get trampled.....Still kept a close eye on the boggers tho'.
They were looking at me 'in a funny way' . ;)
Well...who doesn't ? :P
Cheers - Phil.
Crocodile, pretty please.

Oh all right....Just for you FK....Scale wise what sort of size, head to tail ?
12 feet, 15 feet, 20 feet ?.....Won't take long to do one of those. ;)
'Flats' are lovely and simple to make.
Cheers - Phil.
Love the list! ;D
What more can we sneak onto it? Wild Boar? Zebra? Bufollo? Wildebeasts? Aurochs? T-Rex? 8)

I'd see a plausible model as being about 2 cm in length. Ta ever so.

too large.
