Title: WWI East African Range
Post by: HPFlashman on 16 August 2012, 12:59:13 AM
After lots of browsing on the line-up and forum combined with a couple of books read over the last year and a couple more in the unread stack, I have taken a bit of interest in the East African range, but alas no pictures anywhere as I`ve been able to find.

Any one that may share some pixels ?

Books read so far are "Mimi and Tutu goes forth" about a very British expedition that tugged a couple of gunboats over most parts of SA with the mission to sink a German inland fleet on lake Tanganyika and the Autobiography of Frederic Selous.
The to read list are the "Lean Brown men" and "My reminiscence of East Africa" by Von Lettow-Vorbeck himself.

If you have a look at the Pics section, Grumpy Old Man (Vic) very kindly posted some images of my East Africa models, adapted for a 1930s VBCW era Latin American scanario.  There are a few boats in the images- a Langton 1/200 gun boat but with 1/150 guns & crew, and a few scratch built vessels.
The EA range are crisp well sculptured models.
