Title: looking for a 15mm sculptor
Post by: i_am_win on 23 July 2012, 03:03:07 AM
I hope you guys don't mind if I post this here,
Im looking for a sculptor to make me some 15mm scifi minis from my designs/concept sketches for a project im planning, id like to get some idea of prices per sculpt (Im after about 5 to start, maybe more if it is successful after the first range) Id try and do it meself but, alas am no good at anything that small. If anyone is up for it and doesnt charge the earth (trust me, Ive been looking around for a sculptor and prices vary enormously, from cheap to "WTF! how much!") So with my expected budget for the first range sculpts the more bang for my bucks means I can get potentially more variants for my likkle troopers.
So if you know of any or can point me in the direction of someone suitable so I can get some more quotes let me know, or any info that may help I would be most greatful!  :)

Whiffwaff, he does a lot of very good stuff.
Michael Lovejoy, but I should think he is a busy monkey most of the time.
Techno, obviously.

Plenty more, but as you say prices and quality do vary greatly.

PM me with your budget I A W. ;)
It's quite feasible to 'cut down' the cost of 15mm (+) figures by making them in 'kit' form...This is what I've done for other firms in the past.
Certainly cheaper in the long run, rather than doing something like five individual figures !
Unless, of course, the pieces you're after are all completely different types ?
Cheers - Phil.

I reckon Techno should be able to sort you out there!  Give us a shout if we can help out with the moulding/casting side of things.
