Title: WW2 East Africa
Post by: Ned Lud on 22 July 2012, 12:43:27 PM
I have a Two Fat Lardies supplement to game WW2 in east Africa and I am planning to do this in 10mm but the problem I have is in finding Italians in the correct pith helmet which they also wore in the western theater. Can anyone recommend a figure that would pass for these Italians?

I presume this is the kind of thing you were after.

The problem you have is that the Italian pith helmet is quite distinctive with a much broader brim than those worn by most other colonial troops. And as far as I can tell they tended to wear baggier trousers than most others. However if these details doesn't bother you too much (and in 10mm at typical "table range" who's to know) you should be able to find troops in pith helmets in both the WW1 and Colonial ranges.
