Title: 75mm Schneider model 1912 gun
Post by: realthing on 10 July 2012, 07:25:07 AM
I'm looking for a model of this gun which was used by the French horse artillery and also the Serbian army in World War 1. Anyone know whether one exists in 10mm? In particular, does anyone know what specific gun type is included in the Serbian artillery pack S4? Many thanks!

Hi,

Just seen this.  I know of no Schneider 75/25 Model 12 in 10mm.  Don't know what is in pack S4 but I think the closest you will find is SCW168, a Schneider 75/28 as used in the SCW.  This is not the same gun but close enough to modify to make a passable 75/25.  I wanted a battery for my Republican horse artillery as a few made their way to Spain, from Poland as I remember.

Many thanks for that tip John. Checking out the photos they look pretty close as you say - certainly not too difficult to modify to be a passable representation in 10mm scale. In any case it will definitely look different to the French 75mm which is the main aim!
