A good start, Grasshopper, but a cautious one!  Are they all alike, or do they differ one from the other?  Do these lions imitate the tiger, or the leopard?    So many questions, so little time!  :-\ :-\

Early does not mean wrong, Grasshopper. There are gradations of early, and 1814 is just right!! The four regiments below got new flags in 1814 and carried them through the hyphenated wars.

Leib-Garde Regt. Later IR115
Garde-Fusilier Regt. Later IR 116
Leib Regt. Later IR 117
Gross und Erbprinz. Later IR 118

The jaegers got new flags in 1869.
