Title: Classical Indian for Impetus
Post by: Glandalf on 30 June 2012, 11:14:34 AM
Hello.

I'm painting (slowly) a classical indian army for impetus.

First an Elephant unit with escort:

Closeup picture for the command elephant:

The blue looks like fluorescent in the pictures...I don't know how to fix the camera to look fine.

Its difficult to know what the real colours are on screen but I hope you dont mind I ve tried to rectify the blues for you (although they are still pretty flouro), and tweaked the contrast.

Nice job on the painting BTW. Look forward to seeing the whole army.

Thanks! This way colours can be apreciated better.

How do you do it?

Popped them into photoshop, adjusted the levels, reduced the saturation on the cyan and blue channels, boosted contrast, sharpened and then checked levels again.

Cheers,

That is one fearsome sight!  Reminds me of an astonishing scene in the otherwise dreadful "Alexander"!

I think describing "Alexander" as dreadful is being WAY too kind M.
Other less flattering descriptions would not go amiss.
....Know the scene you mean though !

15...

I like Alexander - not the filler dross, but the battle scenes are great. And it's got Angelina in it. Hottie.  :D

Is that 13?  Or maybe 12?  Are we devaluing the whole process with this childish nod/nod/wink/wink stuff?  No?  Good, that's that cleared up then!  ;) ;)  ;)

How could she possibly be the mother of Colin Farrell?

No details please, I embarrass easily!

No idea...and I don't want to think about that either. So...have another gratuitous filler pic:

Nik,

I have seen some gratuitous filler pics in my time, but that is not one of them. Now a pic of Phillip, that would be gratuitous!

I have to admit, I don't get the Angelina thing.  She looked OK in 'Gone in 60 Seconds' but aside from that, I've never found her very appealing.

Have to agree as far as the pouting "punched in the mouth" look goes; but she's got a hell of a voice, which makes her all right with me in a movie.
