Hi,
Been lurking for a while and could have sworn I'd done an intro post but it seems not! I have been resisting the 10mm bug for quite some time. I have a lot invested in 6mm and 15mm and a few small ImagiNation projects in 28/30mm. Despite seeing some lovely stuff from the likes of Nik Harwood and Goat Major I've always shied away from 10mm as a) I don't want to do a set of scenery in another scale and b) I was convinced I'd just try and paint 10mm the same as my 15mm and hence lose the benefit of quicker massed armies as I'd spend the same amount of time painting each figure as I do 15s!
However, seeing what people have done (and especially Clib's sculpts) I've been looking for an excuse for a project for a while. I nearly went Colonial but bottled it! :) And then I saw the 1st Schleswig-Holstein range. I'd already seen some nice 28mm for this war while researching a C19th ImagiNation project and I think this is the project that's going to push me over the edge! I've ordered the Svendson book, will pick up the Partizan Press guide from Caliver and have made the request for a Day Pass to SWMBO to attend the Birthday Bash and acquire the relevant lead! I'd planned to attend anyway to see Goat Major and GavinPs AWI game but have also seen that Nik H is attending so it would be nice to meet up as I have acquired a few 6mm items from him in the past.
So there you go. I'm officially here now. There should be a link to my blog on the left so hopefully you'll be seeing some 10mm appearing there soon.
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy, welcome to the Forum!
Cool blog as well, you can add it to your signature to make it a little more prominent if you like. We've also got a whole Blog's board down the bottom as well: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/board,65.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/board,65.0.html)

Hi Andy. Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the "no new projects" pledge. It's about as binding as a football manager's contract. :D
Next new project? - I change my mind all the time - I want it all - NOW!
Welcome Andy
Hi Andy, welcome aboard - how is my old club doing :D

Club's ticking along nicely. If you follow the blog and Richards blog you'll get a general idea. I don't get down for games very often (haven't managed a game there this year yet!) but keep an eye on things and add Richard's rules to the website as and when!
Thanks all for the welcomes
Andy
Sorry I'm a bit late but welcome aboard; :)
Wife's from Newcastle so maybe next time we're over visiting the relatives I'll try to find an excuse to pop in to the club.
Have fun
Welcome Andy
Its not your fault being a Geordie ;D (just keep the Geordie/smoggy rivalry going)

I am a Shropshire Lad! Only been up here since '87... still, it's home now.

As a fellow Salopian in exile I must add that those blue remembered hill will always be home.
You can take the lad out of Shropshire, but never the Shropshire out the lad! :'(
GOD'S OWN COUNTY.

Too damn right! Used to work at the Armory in Shrewsbury, great days!

Ahhh. Used to go to Three Tuns but when I grew up Wem Brewery had a less than stellar reputation! :)
Don't get to drink much there now though as when visiting I'm either driving or with my 91 year old non-drinking Scottish Aunt who frowns upon such things!
