Some quick pics of the new Pacific stuff, let us know your thoughts! More Japanese and the US Marines to come soon!
A couple of them are a bit blurry, but you get an idea of the poses. I'll try and get some more pics when I get chance.

I hope you will do tanks later.
Love that guy plunking in the mortar grenade. :D
Cheers,
Aart
I like this :)
When will vehicles and tanks? :P
Oh yes, at long last. The mighty Japanese Empire is almost ready to go forth and conquer.
How soon will they be on sale and just to put a little bit of pressure on - Tanks & Artillery?
Otherwise they look great.
We've got another batch of Japanese coming from the designer at the end of this month, possibly with a couple of Marines as well. We've got a couple of tanks in the process of being done by another designer, the Type 95 light, and the Type 97 medium, if memory serves me.
As for artillery, I'll have to check on the progress of that one, but they will be done.
Excellent.
Better start clearing my painting area ready for the little buggers.
Awesome ....possibility of some Type 4 Chi-To or Type 5 Chi-Ri tanks in addition to the usual suspects?

Possibly, it will depend on the popularity of the range when it's released really. I've put them on the list though.

Nice :D
These look absolutely beautiful. It's funny, but I've been thinking about getting a Pacific project underway lately, and these might be just the push I need. I hope there are some more poses with spectacles-it is such a distinctive WWII Japanese look!
Keep up the great work!

Not sure about more specs poses, but I'm sure it'd be an easy conversion with a bit of putty!
The ATR looks great, but I wouldn't want to carry that around the jungle.
One question I have is regarding their size. I only have two Pendraken ranges, fantasy and colonial sudan, and the size difference is significant (the fantasy are much bigger). Are the WWII figs more like the former or the latter? (I assume they are more like the colonials, but just want to make sure!) Thank you!
Love the general with katana, the parachutier, and also the cicle!!
good job Mr. Sculptor!

They will be about the same size/style as the Colonials. It's the same designer as a load of our other ranges, so will be very similar.

We shall call him 'Squishy':
:D
The range is fantastic, I have been looking at doing the Pacific for years but only in 10mm. Job done! :-*
A couple of questions:
Will the USMC range be as large as the Japs range appears to be going? and will there be a range of LVT vehicles? What about beefing up the range for the 14th Army and Aussies?
I think the large amount of poses and differing types are a great step forward, the late Romans spring to mind. The SCW range has amazed me, so much variety for what I imagine is a fringe area? Will this be the norm for the future? and will past ranges be revamped. The thought of large revamped Brit/Gaul and Republican Roman armies would be fantastic.
There are more Marine masters arriving at the end of June, and we've already got a Buffalo in the Indo-China range, which has gone away for some conversions. Aussies and things like that will probably be done at some point but no timescale for that.
The different poses is something we'll be doing for the foreseeable future, but it depends on the range being done really. I think the Republican Roman's will get this treatment at some stage.
Hi Leon,
I don't know if this has been covered already, but in the Japanese/Marines packs are there more than one pose to a code? For example, if a pack is Japanese charging, are they all the same figure/pose? Whatever the answer, I have to say these figures look absolutely great, and I am getting more and more tempted...
Oh, and I'd like to add another vote for Brits in the CBI...and Gurkhas! Burma is my favourite Japanese conflict. Wouldn't pagodas and stupas in 10mm look amazing?

There is one pose, 10 figures per pack for £1.05. So you could buy one each of:
JP1 Foot, rifle 60° (10)
JP2 Foot, standing, firing (10)
JP3 Foot, charging (10)
and you've got a nice group with variation for £3.15.
I've added the China/Burma/India stuff to my lists. I could see it being done at some point as it would be one of the few areas of WW2 that we'd be missing, although we haven't had many people mention it before. Me and Dave have spoken about doing some Chinese to go with the Japanese already, but the most requested area at the moment is the Polish.
These look very cool - they will be perfect for Operation Downfall...now I need some medium & heavy J-tanks to go up against the Shermans & Pershings (T-28's anyone?)

The Japanese tanks are in the process of being done, Type 95 and Type 97 if I remember right.
These arrived on Thursday, so I've just managed to get them photo'd for everyone. There's some nice little bits in this lot, like the chap wading to shore!

Not my thing yet! but theyre fab and I love you all dearly, I beleave that this range is going to be quite complete, which is great. Now about those Napoleonics - if you can do a para in that pose surely you can get a French Infanryman loading his musket correctly , or not?? - oh aye wrong post (titter titter)
;)
These arrived today, so here's some quick snaps. We should have these moulded up with the last lot, all ready for Augusts releases!

We made it to Friday - yee ha!
And whats even better, I watched the 'chip off the old block' take 3 for 9 in 4 overs tonight. Makes the tinnys taste so much better ;)
I say chip off the old block, he's got far more talent than this old fart ever had (with bat and with ball!) although I would never admit as much :o
Good stuff - I've had two games rained off in two days :(
I'm getting cricket withdrawals...but not skimping on the post-non-match drinkies ;) :P ;D
New Marines look very good, at last a bailed out tank crew for the Americans, in just the right poses, now if you can do some figers like that for the British, Russian & Germans it would be realy good!

I've mentioned this to another one of the designers!
These have just arrived, so here's a few pics of new Japanese tanks. We had originally planned on 2 types, but we've decided to spoil you and give you 5 instead!
Before you start asking though, these won't be available with the September releases, we need to wait for some more masters to arrive so that we've got enough to fill a mould!

YeeHiii Those look great :D
Man you sure are making it tough to finish one period with all of these releases :P
Keep it up!!
cya
Really looking forward to these - I wasn't expecting that variety though! This is really awesome, can't wait to place an order when these come out!
Powerless...to...resist...must...buy...on...release...
Buggrit ;D :'( :o 8)
OMG, the evil empire of the west is finished now!!! When these little babies start rolling down the Malay peninsular Imperial Japan will be assured of victory.
Banzai!!!!!
Agree with Nik on this one. Resistance is futile ;D.
