Title: Painting WWI Germans

Does anyone have any (preferably Vallejo) recommendations on what paint to use for 1918 German Army?

I'd recommend you Vallejo: German Field Grey as basic color + 1 wash with GW devian mud + 1 highlight with German Field Grey again. Fairly simple and gives great results.
Don't bother about what shade of green to use..I've been to several German Army museums and in each one you'll find different versions of the "Feldgrau" uniform; the Vallejo color is close enough to most of them  ;)

I second that. For one thing, the shade of Feldgrau is said to have got darker as the war progressed. And most of these dyes were fairly unstable anyway and tended to fade over time.

thanks for that, I trot off to the local GW shop and see if they have any devlan mud......or it's replacement!
