Seeing Phil's new prototype zombies has given me a great idea for a game.
Based on the classic Space Hulk.
The ship's corridors are replaced by city streets. Terminator's replaced with kill team stands. The new Falklands range would be good for these, SAS, Paratroopers etc.
These would work their way through the city streets to complete objectives.
The great thing about Space hulk is the blips. The kill teams would see these but not what they contain. Turn around the street corner and be confronted by a couple of zombies which are quickly dispatched or a whole shambling horde ready to tear them apart :D
That's a great idea Matt - and could easily be gamed with Ambush Z or Strange Aeons as well...hmm...I love the idea of this in the streets of London too - cool 8)
I'm in :D
Off you go then Phil ;) ;D
Count me in :D 8)

I think there's a very good chance I'll run
from them with this !
Cheers - Phil.
" Turn around the street corner and be confronted by a couple of zombies "
I do this every morning - it is called going to work :(
Just need to be careful of that overwatch when the blip of civilians charges round the corner trying to escape the shambling hordes!
Could be fun.

Roll the dice -
1-3 - 'Hold fire, they're alive!'
4-6 - 'Take'em out! Gotta be sure'
SAS units add +2 to the roll :D
civilians would add a good random element. Regular troops would be obliged to go off mission to protect them. SAS wouldn't give a feck and can carry on.
Endless possibilities. Like AVBCW game your own town/village. Blow away zombie representations of your neighbours and other people you don't like ;D
Phil you definitely, definitely must model a couple of zombies with hoodies and baseball caps

Like the idea of those too.
Cheers - Phil.
this is a fantastic idea - and the random civilian element sounds fun too.
You could also have a mixture of fast and slow zombies - so the human player would never quite know if a blip was survivors, crawlers or runners. Could get really interesting!
To misquote dear old Homer S....."D'oh..This just gets better & better"....This has got more legs than something that's got....erm.... Lots of legs !
Cheers - Phil.
But what about fast Zombies or A large Cruise ship they have about 4,000 on board and you can para drop the sas on like they did with the QE2
Also be looking for army in noddy suits and scientists in bio hazard suits ;) 8)
I've already got the riot police made up :D
Sure some of the AVBCW civilian figures would make good survivors.
I really like this idea too, it would make a great demo/participation game to introduce newbies to 10mm. Plenty of cheap model railway buildings around for scenery, especially if you don't mind card.
Sounds like another job for UNIT ...... But where's the Doctor got ..... Any idea's Phil?
Cheers,
Kev

I see fast zombies as being zombie dog packs, obligatory to any zombie film. They'd be a rare occurance as they'd move so fast as to scare the sh*t out of the human player. A few doggy bites and your squads start rapidly turning into the enemy.
Definitely need soldier zombies and also the hot chick in bikini zombie (again a must for every zombie film).
Very nice game idea, I like this game, perfect for solo.

Its generally chavs and morons where I come from ;D
That said chavs and morons dress a bit like Zombies :-*
So Leon........along with every other project we come up with.
Op Nimrod style SAS/Generic HRT figures ?
Errr....
HRT ?.....Who/what they ? Menopausal zombies ?
Cheers - Mr Thicky.
That would be Hostage Rescue Team.
I would also settle for the Rowan Atkinson SAS Waiter from Not the 9 o Clock News
Ta Si !
Cheers - Phil.
Dear lord, what have i started?!? :o :D
It's spreading, like the 'infection'
Still wondering what the Brad Pitt version of world war Z will be like :-\ Not heard huge raves, but I'm a sucker for zombie flicks so he'll get my money one way or the other :-[

Yup !....Only this time it'll be the 'P' (for Pendraken)Virus....very virulent....ARGHHHH!....The little zombies are attacking me...Must get away as fast as possi........
My boy's would love this. They play with Zombies in a "Weird WW2" game like I used to play with cowboys and indians at their age. I often join in with them myself (purely in an investative capacity you understand :^o).
They make a great change from more "serious" :D games.
Cheers, Rob :)

*think I Need a bigger house to keep it all in.... is four bedrooms enough*

Which zombie figures are you thinking of using?
