Title: Weird World War One - project finally started
Post by: TheOlivant on 26 April 2012, 03:23:43 PM
I have been piling lead and various bits and pieces together for years now and finaly, after watching Sucker Punch, mustered enough enthusiasm to bring the project to the painting table.

So.. it is very much a work in progress, but the troops are finished, more tanks ordered and airships dug out 'the pile'.

I have put up a few pics: http://theolivant.pbworks.com/w/page/53044938/10mm%20WW1%20Weird%20Wars

Anyone got any ideas on scratch building flight stands for the Nefs ?

Anyone got any similar forces put together that we can see images of ?

Anyone got any links to models, figs, kits, etc that would suit for WWW1 in 10mm ?

regards

Wayne

Those walkers look very cool.

This is quite a cool idea - I like the idea of Weird WWI more than WWII for some reason, probably because it has a bit of a steam-punk feel to it.

I watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the last Shelock Holmes which both have that flavour about them...

Right - rather than faff about with retyping a load of thoughts etc I thought I'd publicize this:

SteampunkFWC wiki that a select few worked on a while ago - it's lain dormant for a while as other shiny things have got in the way...

Might throw up some ideas - I'll also give it its own link elsewhere so that general discussion doesn't get in the way of your thread mate  :)

Love the site and enjoyed reading all the history and tech stuff too.

Just remembered, arnt Pendraken bringing out some Victorian policemen !? They would do a splendid job.

Just finished my trenches and dug out my Nautilus airship, three Derigible gun ships and two Derigible MG platforms. Ill put images up as things get finished.

Looking forward to seeing more of the Steampunk website, especially any eye candy :o)
