I liked the Shaun Ryder one, on the papers comments page some people actually took it seriously ;D
Were you not tempted to announce Tarleton's release today ;)
They did that last year - I seam to remember I was the only one who got had by it! ;D
I missed the one that I was going to do for you all....
Don't think it would have 'fooled' anyone for a minute....Awww...maybe some for a couple of seconds at most.
I'll save it....Not next year...'Cos you'll be expecting it. ;)
Cheers - Phil.
Some good ones there, the 'Build Your Own Mini' sounds pretty cool, shame it'd take 600 years to get all the parts! I reckon that Monopoly would sell though!
I missed mine unfortunately, I got caught up with other stuff last night and forgot to do it. Next year though... ;)
Why didn't they do Google Maps 8 bit when I still had my Spectrum? It was really portable so long as the power lead was long enough. :D
From the BBC: 10 stories that could be April's Fools but aren't:

GW Black Library did a good one - they sent out a mail to their subscribers with a link to a free audio drama download of a adventure featuring the Sisters of Silence.......... you can probable guess the rest.....

I thought it was renaming their paints, or perhaps introducing Failcast and charging £20 per figure. ;)
"3. A 20-year-old "superhero" who calls himself the Knight Warrior, but was born Roger Hayhurst, is hoping to be the first elected mayor of Salford. He promises to tackle crime".
First elected mayor; what were they previously - conscripted? =)

In Salford? Absolutely!
