Title: Pontifical Army-1867
Post by: streetgang on 29 March 2012, 07:59:44 PM
Trying to figure out my Papal Army for Mentana and I have a few questions.
- The Pontifical Zouaves are easily covered by the Voluntaire de l'Ouest.
- From what I have read the Legion d'Antibe were dressed as French Line.
- The Carabineri Esteri were said to have appeared in similar dress as French Chasseurs a Pied, however I have read they wore shakos. I assume that the French Chasseurs a Pied in the 1870 range gave Kepis. Are there figures available that would look like French Chasseus a Pied in shako?
- Additionally, it seems the Papal Line were equipped in uniforms similar to French line but in shako, again what would be a good substitute?

Thanks!
