First platoon of my American infantry force for Charlie Don't Surf is complete. Lovely little figures (as usual!).

Great platoon!!
Nicely done 8)
Nicely done Christian 8). I'd be interested to hear how the rules play out.
NOW LISTEN HERE ~X(
I have just about had it up to here #:-S with you people tempting me with yet another project to be considering :-\
Nice work by the way ;)

It looks almost identical (core rules wise) to I Aint Been Shot Mum 3, with added Vietnam flavour obviously. I have to be honest and say I have been deeply unfaithful to BKC and have had quite a few games of IABSM3 recently and loved every minute of them. :o
Update on my Nam project. Here are 3 hooches (Kennington models from SHQ- Leon hurry up and get some Vietnam buildings on the go so I don't feel a traitor buying off other companies ;) ) I've just finished and some GI's for scale. Now done 2 full platoons and just based and undercoated a third. Want to get the Yanks done before I go to Salute and pick up a sack full of VC and NVA! :D

Company complete!

Im just doing a few M113 ACAVs and Hueys next for transport options. Should be fun, then on to the NVA!
Nice! =D>
Really atmospheric, nice one! Love the command figures too.
These look really nice Chris 8).
Good stuff 8)
Excellent, looking good!

In other news, should have some new Vietnam releases coming along in the very near future... ;)
Good-looking company. Looking forward to seeing Charlie. :)

Test stand for my VC local force. Yes I know its a bit cliched but I want them to stand out from the NVA and civilian figures. Lovely figures by the way Leon! Well pleased. Cant wait to do the NVA too.
They look really good Chris 8). Damn the cliche look as long as they stand out on the table!
Nicely done Chris 8)
Those are superb! not at all cliched :)
The VC local force platoon is now done plus some supports (light mortars and a RPG team)

Bit of a rubbish pic, will retake when I get a chance.
Anyone know where I can get some yellow star decals to put on the command bases? Would need to be about 5-6mm across.
Check these Chris as they may fit the bill.

Ooh reckon they will! ;D Cheers.
Heres a WIP shot of some hidden NVA bunkers and some food caches- all from Timecast. NVA company will be posted later!

I will be running a campaign for our gaming group in a few weeks time, so expect battle reports and pics!
Also just realised Im short a few figures, going to have to make another order and there is no way I am goign to be able to resist adding a army pack for Maurice in there somewhere.

Excellent; I always seem to have a few more bits & pieces that get added in to bigger orders :)
These look very nice Chris and I look forward to reading your AARs as well as seeing plenty of pics. Glad to see that you also never quite seem to finish a battlegroup ;).
They are always a work in progress Steve!
Heres the officer figures (just awaiting little yellow star decals to arrive to stick on the bases), 60mm mortars (well they are bigger than that, but in game terms they will be 60mm!) and an RPG team. Alongside some of Timecasts village scenery bits, hidden supply dump, village stores and village well. These will look great on the table- they painted up really well.

Make sure you send a copy of this to Timecast, it looks superb!
Excellent - they do look really nice 8)
Splendid job with both the miniatures and scenery!
This project is progressing nicely and is tempting me to try some CWC Vietnam :).
I am pretty sure at some point I will add some vehicles and stuff, that way it will fit for Charlie Dont Surf and CWC.
Just got the choppers and M113 ACAVs to paint now. Oh and the paddy fields, then I had better write the campaign!

A couple of Timecast hooches. Trouble is they look twice the size of my other ones. Oh well, not the end of the world. Lovely models though.
Wow Chris, you are on a roll with this project! The buildings and terrain look great 8).
Im looking forward to finishing it- seems never ending. Every time I think Im almost done, I remember some more bits I need to do. :-\
Biggest challenge is going to be the rice paddies.
Really look great. 8)
They are twice the size, they belong to the prosperous farmers within the settlement (don'tchuknow!) and are one up on the Jones... ;)
Thats exactly my thoughts Lemmy!

Haven't you realised that no wargames project is
ever finished? I'm still adding to forces I painted thirty years ago. There's always room for a heavy-weapons platoon, or some recon vehicles, or a battalion of grenadiers etc. etc. Once you realise this life becomes so much easier. ;)
Oh, and great buildings BTW. :-bd
Test rice paddy- fairly happy with how it came out, the water looks a wee bit more glossy in real life. Now to do the other 6 of them...

Very nicely done
Not wanting to be cheeky :D :D , but Im flogging this project, see here:
