Hi Roy, welcome to the Forum!

Welcome here!
Hello to all,
Forget to mention wargaming interests in the first post.
Second World War - tried with various rules and scales until I settled with BKC and Pendraken a few years back, then BKC Vol. II came out didn't it. Haven't gotten around to buying a copy yet, or even looking at one. Is there much of a change to the rules and army lists?
[sounding like a francophile] Napoleonic - again tried various rules and scales, at the moment have settled on Sam Mustafa's Grande Armee rules and 6mm scale. Yes I was caught up in the trend a few years back.
1:1200 Signal Close Action [napoleonic] naval.
1:3000 Victory at Sea.
Played Agema Publications La Gloire du Roi play-by-mail game for a decade as well.
BloodBowl - GW's fantasy football game
Welcome, Roy !
Cheers - Phil.

Hi Roy,
Welcome on board!
If you haven't seen it yet, have a look at this: http://www.blitzkrieg-commander.com/Content/Purchase/BKCII.aspx
There are many big and small changes. For me, the things to look for are the split in attack values, the new opportunity fire rules, the new close assault rules and the different infantry units you get in the lists. But there's a lot more too really.

Best advice regarding BKC2, look on e-bay, and if you see it grab it, all rulebooks are out of stock and out of print, Pete is selling exclusivly through Lulu now, no nice shiny colour piccies inside. :( :( Makes me a sad panda.
While CWC and FWC are out of stock, BKC II is still available, as far as I know. Also some traders may still have the other ones in stock. But it may be a case of getting one while you still can.
Thanks everyone for the welcome, and for the info. on the rules.

From the site: Currently out-of-print, but the book is available through North Star Figures and Lulu.
Welcome on board Roy. I highly recommend BKCII.
Welcome to the asylum.
On the rules front I ordered a copy of CWC via Lulu and its a plain cover and only in black and white. The paper is not the shiny stuff of the orriginals but still good quality. I am quite pleased with them
I registered with LulU a couple of weeks before buying and they sent me a 20% discount voucher.
Hi Roy
Welcome to the Forum.

Hello Roy,welcome
Welcome Roy :D
ah =) yes, here's my first introduction. cheers OldenBUA.
i couldn't find this before - woops.
and as to my BKC issue from last time round - i couldn't be bothered to buy 'another' set of rules [have far too many already] so i just decided to go the retro route and play it 1st ed.

No need for clever tricks. If you click on a username, you get an option to see all posts of that member. Just scroll back a bit, and there it is!
And yes, BKC 1st ed is still a good set, and fully supported on the website. I like BKC II better, but to each his own.
:)
i'm up and running now, with pictures - just started my first thread of my Imperial British East Africa IHMN steampunk adventurer's company on the phot's section.
cheers, roy

[yep, just to proove i'm a techno luddite]
Make up your mind. Which one are you then, Techno or Luddite? Not that we need any other of
those.
er... sorry.
i made a mistake that was all.
It was only a little jest, referring to the nicknames of two well known forum members. No need for apologies. Anyway, your post has gone now, so nobody will have an idea what's going on anyway. 8-}
"Well known" - "notorious"?
Welcome
Jerry
Hi Roy and welcome. Don't resist RCW. It is a brilliant period for interwar play. I currently use 3 10mm infantry figures on 30x20mm bases for Peter Pig's Square Bashing and have had some very enjoyable games. Will be starting a RCW photo topic shortly.

You know what they say, Phil, if you can't be famous......
And a belated welcome from me too, Roy.
Ray
Hello all...myself rather belatedly, in reply to all your posts.
No prob's with the mix up before.
I started doing something with Pendraken Miniatures models last year, but then got side-tracked and forgot all about it. I'll try to post more over here...and I'm going to start finishing off my IHMN 10mm collection and posting the results on my blog and on here.
cheers, roy
