I'm sick of being a Second Lieutenant, I want a promotion >:(
More posts clamouring for Aztecs may help.
:o.
See !...That's got me another post !
Post, post, post, post, post...
I'm getting the hang of this now (snigger). ;)
Cheers - Phil.
Something is definitely wrong here; my post above is number 137, my post above is also 137, my posts aren't being properly recorded, THIS EXPLAINS MY INABILITY TO PROGRESS TO THE DIZZY HEIGHTS OF LIEUTENANT, OR CAPTAIN, OR MAJOR EVEN!!!! I DEMAND SOMETHING IS DONE!!!! :'(

NOW THEY'RE 138!!!
Ah, its the cumulative number of posts, I see, I see ....... *shuffles off very red faced*
BUT I STILL WANT A PROMOTION!
You're well on your way, 150 posts should make you a full Lieutenant.
10 posts in the Saxon 1866 topic, post some links in resources, post photos - builds up the total nicely - also comment on other people's pictures, makes them feel good and you get more numbers! :D ;)

Good point, I quite agree, well done! ;)
I'm saluting Lemmy....Just so's I get another post ! ;)
Cheers - (Major Phil...To ground control.)
Well I still beat my former "real" rank of Lance-Jack in the Slime. 8)
I'll soon be a famous Rifles march.
Ooh look I am :D (though this will make no sense after any subsequent post...)
But it is a long, long road to Captain! He, says getting one feeble step nearer.
Mollinary
It don't tayke toooo long young maaan.
And put your hat on straight when you're talking to me.... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil. (Ben's got the right idea !! ;))
You
can
increase
your
post count, put the server (and Leon) will get annoyed
Leon - Is it legal to post a topic just for making nonsense like fred so we can get a quick promotion?
I want one as well. :(

Normally I'd say yes, but I remember Dave doing something similar when the Forum first started! Hopefully there's enough boards to always find something good to talk about though.
8)
One word posts don't really work - the server seems to have some spam checking built in, so the 3rd and 4th posts were quite slow to post, then the 5th post warned me that I had posted in the last 5s, and wouldn't complete that post, so I had to go back to the thread again. Frankly its easier to post my normal nonsense rather than one word nonsense ;)
I think there are some cads around here getting dangerously close to being busted down to Private. :-\ ;)

I demand something BE done. Correct use of the subjunctive is one of the marks of an officer and a gentleman.
He'll never get that promotion at this rate! ;D

Not to mention the correct use of apostrophe's. ;)

Real officers also distinguish between homophones!
I can play "Prussian Glory" on a Bb flute if that helps? Now that I am no longer 95...

Now I'm really confused; homophone, same sounding, same sounding what?
I really, really want that promotion *clicks ruby slippers together and thinks, There's no place like home*

A council is a conference. You wished to confer with counsel, a wise advisor.
Agreed, a slip of the key, however your tense is wrong; I still wish (present) to confer with counsel. God Almighty, you're hard work.
A Pendraken officer has to be indefatigable, sir.
You're heading for a silver bullet and a stake of holly through your indefatigable heart old fruit.
How come he's a Lieutenant?
Purchase system. Bit of a regimental scandal.
Oh. Aah!
Quote from: Ben Waterhouse on 22 March 2012, 02:12:50 PM
How come he's a Lieutenant?
Over a hundred posts ?....Said he, guessing wildly......Or is it more than that ?
Cheers - Phil
Promotion occurs at:
50 posts --> Second Lieutenant
150 posts --> Lieutenant
300 posts --> Captain
500 posts --> Major
750 posts --> Lieutenant Colonel
1000 posts --> Colonel
After that the jumps get bigger, so Nik's 3600-odd posts make him Major General, but I don't know when that promotion occurs.
I've been told that when someone gets past 10k posts, it starts to get interesting... :-\ :D
I had better extract the digit then!
Just got promoted :)
It will be a while at an average of two point two posts a day for my next rank, I've only just levelled up!
about six days at this rate!
Oh come on guys, rank isn't everything - - - - is it??? Right????? Help me out here! :-X
Mollinary (still a lieutenant).
Of course not, Gentleman Trooper has a more elegant ring to it...
Anspessado perhaps? Or even Reformado? But the elephant in the room, the question everyone wants to ask, is how many posts to become Generalissimo, Oberbefehlshaber, or even Imperator? We should be told!
Mollinary
Captain General one would hope.

Mmmm, perhaps an extra pip for everyone over 50? Any support for this intelligent and humane solution?
Oh I vote to add an extra PIP to the die roll and one more step towards promotion for me - yay!!! :D

=D> =D>
IanS
Free claret isn't worth having. You want the expensive stuff. :D
'Ere....Hurry up Lemmey.

Had that in March, almost got a job and bought a car whilst suffering.
IanS
It's not fun, been laid low for a week with two different colds after the immune system was zapped by Nora two weeks ago!
:(
Get well soon Lemmey !

Yes and Compo would have loved to have been laid low by her ;D
Nah, I think he was all mouth and trousers. If she'd said "yes" he'd have run a mile. :-*
