Title: WW2 Soviets - A painting test
Post by: peterdong on 17 March 2012, 02:53:52 AM
Just painted up an anti-tank bunker, a KV-1, and some light tanks (not sure what model).

More pictures (larger as well): http://s1060.photobucket.com/albums/t451/peterdong/Moar%20Soviets/

Please give me some suggestions...  :)

Good work Peter.

Not certain what you are asking for here, but

1) Lt Tank is a T60? (might be a 70, same chassis)
2) Tow rope looks intrusive - do it in gunmetal rather than rust
3) Antenna would help, as would crew and stowage - not on these two types, but T34's in 41 often carried a spare transmission on the rear deck, and most Russian types have extrnal fuel drums.

Nice to see none of those slogans or stars, but there could be brigade signs and tac numbers on the vehicles. Russians also cammod  tanks. Earth brown, verydark green or black stripes.

Nicely done - I'd give the bunker a bit of a wash & stipple some different greys / whites onto it to break up the uniformity of it a bit  :)
