Title: Rules for large WWI early war battles.
Post by: Uesugi Kenshin on 22 April 2010, 10:38:44 AM
Im interested in gaming the early war on the eastern front with division size units. What rules are people using for the fluid portion (none trench) of the war? I prefer "playability" over flash chrome.

Thanks!

Hi

I am thinking of Panzer Corps as I think someone mentioned on another forum sometime that there is a WW1 add on for it

I am currently using 19th Century Principle of War for the period - which I find gives a pretty realistic period game without being overly complex. The POW system has been pretty well refined and its handles large numbers of troops well.

Perhaps Square Bashing from Peter Pig could be used.
I have no personal experience with the rules yet, but I am expecting them in the mail any day now.
