AWI all i can say is wow Nik beautiful figures, thanks for posting
And now I've just created a new blog - in a concerted attempt to put the whole of my being into Google-land ;) :d
Not much there now - but it's probably (from here on in) going to get updated more than my wiki as I can easily integrate it with my Google+ meanderings and postings here...

How do you find the time, Nik? With work and a family thrown in - amazing! 8)
May be we should run an anti-doping test on Nik ?
;)
Any chance of a quick run down of how you did the Dystopian Wars Fleet please Nik? Presumably a wash or something at some point?
Very nice indeed :-bd
I see you play legends of the old west, how do those rules play?

I find that the busier I am, the more I get done...not sure that makes any sense, but perhaps it's just that if everything is moving at Mach 3 then you just don't lose momentum!

They're good (as are Legends of the High Seas) - for me they combine the nice & simple combat mechanic of Lord of the Rings (which is very fast & fluid and ideal for skirmish gaming) with the best of the campaign system from Mordheim...great fun - and easily adaptable to other periods as well - for example, I use 'Voltigeur' as a variant for Napoloeonic skirmishing 8)
Great! LOTR being one of the games i like a lot. I think i have about 6 different armies, maybe 7.
Seems like i will have to investigate ;)

Thanks Sean - those FPW have featured here - I was just mucking about, seeing how easy / difficult it was to bring content from here to there...it was a great game & I need to get them on the table more - they're some of my favourite Pendraken figures :)
I've added the 'follow' gadget now - bizarrely, that one's not in the 'standard' list of gadgets that come up in the dashboard :o
I do like this, pity that Christmas is a long way off. I will have to look forward to my birthday in June for the minor diversions this will probably cause me
Si
Consider yourself followed Nik, but not in a stalker kind of way ;D

Few more posts today - all Dystopian Wars shenanigans - Isaac (he's 6) wanted his own boats to fight against mine - so there's a painting guide, some fleet pics & a batrep from yesterday...

Little monkey's way better at dice-rolling than me... >:( :D
Like father, like son.
My little hooligan also beats me any time - cos she says so!
Nice work Nik! And Issac looks a lot like a mini-Nik....
Shame he's wearing that shirt though...:p :D

Yeah, those exploding dice can really hurt...
And, suddenly, another 6 months of my mortal existence hurtles beyond me...so, tonight, I thought I'd try to catch up - across multiple platforms: most notably G+ and my blog:

Welcome back to blogging, Nik!
Got your beat-the-February-price-rise Pendraken order in? What are you planning to use with By Fire & Sword? Looks fun.
Cheers, Michael

Thanks, Michael :)
I'm working on my annual-beat-the-price-rise order at the moment. I've had to resort to a serious Numbers spreadsheet to keep track ;)
Not sure re By Fire & Sword: at the moment, I'm still at the "this is a seriously beautiful book" stage rather than the "right, time to work out some lists" stage - it's not far off though :)
I think I'll probably start with some Polish & some Ottomans - and it's tempting to bung in some Tartars using the Mongols...
I don't recall seeing any close-ups of the Pendraken Polish or Ottomans.

There's some Polish here: http://warmaster-acolytes.mforos.com/1854818/9149890-indice-database/
And I'm going to go on faith for the others....to be honest, it's what I've always done with Pendraken: and I've yet (starting in 2004-ish?) to be disappointed...
Some creativity, some licence, some judicious painting - and pretty much anything can be done in 10mm that will be forgiven (by the mad, obsessive, purists) on the tabletop. So I fully suspect (after a decent, proper, relaxed, no-kids) reading of By Fire & Sword that I will have sussed out which figures (from the lovely pics in the rulebook) will 'do' for my purpose...
Some notes of my get-back-to-gaming January retail therapy in various posts over the past few days :)

Hi Nik blogs look great, enjoyed your AVBCW one especially been thinking of something like that myself, (more to the lead mountain) and also another one that caught my eye on the main page Sci-Fi Weird WW2 1946, looking forward to seeing what that will involve. Enough of my ramblings, keep up the good work look forward to seeing more .
All the best
Sean
Thanks Sean :)
I've just changed the template layout of my blog to a more dynamic view - let me know what you think 8)

Looking good Nik. More post in one go, gives more of a 'pick what you like' feel. Which is probably a good thing, since you post about many and varied subjects.

Cool, thanks for the feedback, Alex; if you hover top-left, you get options to tweak it for yourself as well...pretty funky 8)
Hi Nik the new layout looks great, I like it :D :-bd
