Title: 1866/1870 casualties
Post by: cameronian on 19 February 2012, 12:21:13 PM
Well, I had a look at the Prussian and French 1870 casualty figures and TBH was less than impressed, so I ordered a few packs of the AWI casualties and set to work with a file. Once you've removed the queues (5 seconds per figure), and with a bit of judicious painting, they can be made to look like 1866/1870 casualties. Obviously, with a jewellers eyeglass, you can spot inconsistencies but as I never tire of reminding myself, IT IS 10mm REMEMBER. Mixed with a few ragged skirmishing poses and with the bases flocked and painted, they look quite good. Will post a few photos when I get time.

Hmmm!  I quite like the FPW casualties, and have some hundreds of them, but a bit of variety would certainly be nice. But the AWI guys have certainly been spoilt by Clib's beauties.  All that said, I would very much like to see casualties added to the  Austrian and Bavarian ranges at least, in order to spread out the carnage.  Any chance Leon?

We've considered a generic '19th C' type casualty figure to cover the gaps, so it is something we're looking at.
