bought the dvd to watch on the ferry, really enjoyed the film and is now wondering whether I can sort out some kind of role play game based around it :)
I've not seen the film yet, I'm waiting to catch it on Sky, so I'm not sure what you'd need for a game (apart from massive trolls!).
:D
My 18th c version of traveller has a troll looming up large on them soon ;)
Muskets vs trolls will be fun :D
The wilds of Cumbria has all sorts living there, well known during the 1720s :o
Ooo sounds fun :)
Oh I have a whole world spinning in my head for this one :-[
Evil diseases that the South Americans are immune to, but not the Europeans! Changes the whole balance of the world 8)
Sasquach hunting in the new world, Ottermans dealing with sand people, oh the fun :D :D :D :-[
Sasquach fur hats, all the fashion in Paris right now!
The troll survival guide inside the DVD gives the 4 types that appear in the film :D
4 types!
I'll have to wait until it's nice and cheap :-[
got mine for a tenner ( i think) from Tesco :D

I think they'd be otterpeople. They're obviously mammals, so would reproduce sexually.
I'd not heard of this one, but it looks fun...
I wasnt too sure to be honest, but actually really enjoyed it :D
Watched it at the weekend.
It was surprisingly good actually...
Sort of like a Finnish, student film version of Blair Witch...only good...
Watched this teh other day - superb film! Really well thought out. Loved it all. 8)
My wife and I loved it, some great touches, especially the goats!
yep goats and a bridge. classic :D
I enjoyed this too, and would also commend the Norwegian film "Dead Snow" for all you fans of horror movies that involve zombies Nazis.

My 18th c version of traveller ...
Please speak more of this -- is there already a thread or a blog I can have a look at?
Sorry to say, there is no blog or other such modern tomfoolary :D
It's all trapped in my head. We've played two adventures so far. It was cracking fun.
They never did find the troll through! The chap from the Royal Society was shot! They spent the whole time tracking down the mystry of the wool conspiracy in the lakedistrict(perfect troll lands :()
Lots of daring do etc. Also decieded not to go to the battle of Glen Shiel and missed the chance to be the man who shot RobRoy ;) :'(
I feel that witch and wolf hunting in central Europe is there next 'scam' sorry, JOB.

I second that! Both are great films, there are a lot of excellent euro horror movies that hollywood seem to have to remake in english at the moment which is ridiculous.

HAve a look at Leagues of Adventure from Triple Ace Games - Victorian tales of derring do. It is a role play game but lots of ideas... horror supplement coming out soon so lots of monster hunting... I am running a game just now with the heroes trying to stop .... actually better not say here in case they are reading this message.
As for Nazi snow, bought it and didn't think too much of it to be honest it was too predictable for me especially the ending
I just watched 'Troll Hunter' yesterday on YouTube. Not many expectations but ended up really enjoying it :)
