Crossed the finishing line at 6.00pm yesterday. Cleared my locker, shook hands all round and rode off into the sunset. To quote the classic tee-shirt, "I'm retired - don't ask me to do ANYTHING!"
OK, what shall I do now..... ;)

Develop a strategy to cope with all those around you who think they can find you things to keep you busy :-\
Congrats though - looking forward to your forthcoming thread, "An Army A Day" ;) :P ;D
yep no excuse not to do that Kursk at 1:1 project you know you need to do....
congrats though - i'm very jealous!!
Welcome to the world of the retired "Gentleman of Leisure", I've been retired since I was 53 and can honestly report that it's the best job I've ever had.
An army a day, I wish, there never seems to be enough hours in the day, dont know how I ever got anything done when I was working.
I wish I could afford to retire right now, but it seems I will have to work until my late 60s the way the retirement age is going :(. Unfortunately there is no way that I will be able to physically do the work I currently do then, probably even earlier given the way age takes its toll on the eyes, co-ordination, strength and stamina etc.
However, enjoy your retirement to the full and I look forward to plenty of AARs etc in the coming years ;) :).
