Hi everyone. I've been reading this board for a year or so, but I've decided to join and show you all what I'm working on.
I've decided to create a bespoke dungeon to showcase the excellent Pendraken monsters and furniture.

The dungeon has the same 16mm squares as the Pendraken dungeon to make it fully compatable although I chose to make the doors in a slightly different way.

I decided to paint it purple in order to make it look slightly more magical and because I find myself painting everything grey which ends up looking boring. The idea for the giant plants/fungi I borrowed from Germy's website.

The, floor and bridge are made from 2mm thick plasticard. The cave texture is made by carving high density insulation foam and filling with milliput. The squares are 15mm mdf model bases.

Sorry about the poor photography!
That's really nice! I like the purple - makes a nice departure from battleship grey :)
Brilliant stuff ! =D>
I like the purple tinge too. :-bd
Cheers - Phil.
Really simple, but effective :)
Looks really really cool! 8)
Awesome, I like it! 8)
Surely the basis of an alien hive...
Whatever happened to the suggestions about a sci-fi version of the dungeons? I love what maxwell has done here but I'm way too lazy (and crap at scratch building) to take something like that on :(
:-bd
Nice idea!
The purple colour bestows upon the caves an eerie atmosphere @-)
Really good, a great idea and well executed. The purple works well for a magical look.
Are the spiders the old metal Citadel ones? Where are the big fungus/plant things from?
One small suggestion, add a little sand (or militput) to the bases to blend the cast base with the coin/washer they are stuck to)
I like it :D :D :D
Very nice - always good to see something a little different 8)
Very nice.
Hadn't thought of doing some of those plants/fungii for my dungeon but they fit in well.
Fred, they look like the Pendraken spiders to me.
Hi Maxwell very nice
Andy
Thanks for the really positive comments.

I have seen some people execute the sand on base really well, but when I do it, they always end up looking a little messy. In the end, I stuck to a matt coloured base which to me looks fine on everything apart from the spiders. I hadn't considered milliput, but I might try that out on the spiders.

Yes, they are Pendraken spiders.
Oh! Yours look way better than mine, I'll have to have another go at painting mine.
I've been thinking of getting another pack and painting them up like these
