Just a quick heads-up for UK residents with access to Sky 3. As part of a promotional weekend Sky 3 are showing the first two episodes of "The Pacific" for free from 9pm. i.e less than an hour from now.
I very nearly missed this so I thought I should spread the news.
I've read conflicting reports about how good (or not) it is. Personally I shall be watching Wallander, the cracking Swedish detective series (and it's not the Kenneth Brannagh version). If that wasn't on, I'd give it a look in though. Shame it never made it to the BBC as was originally planned >:(.
I still haven't found the time to watch this, it's sat on my Sky+ box. I think Dave's interested as well, so I'll entice him round with beer and crisps...
:D
In the end I watched the first episode as Wallender was cancelled for some reason. To be honest, I found it rather disjointed and fairly average.
Quoteso I'll entice him round with beer and crisps...
Hang on then - average or not, if you've got beer & crisps I'm coming over as well...if I leave now I should get to you about 3am ;D

You'll scare the crap out of the missus, cos I'll still be at work!
:D
I can lurk on the doorstep if that's easier ;)
To be fair though, after the day I've had at work the choice between driving a bazillion miles north & drinking a nice cold Chardonnay wasn't even a close call :P
So I'll stay here & post nonsense on the forum if that's ok ;D

You go right ahead!
She's actually still up, waiting for Auto Windscreens to come after some local knobs decided to kick our windscreen through.
>:(
That sucks...b'stards >:(
Maybe you should move to the sticks - I hear it's nice in Somerset: might save on some postage costs too... ;) :P 8)
:D
Well we lived in the middle of nowhere in Cornwall for 3 years, it was 7 miles just to get milk and a paper. When we moved back to Middlesbrough, we deliberately chose a village on the outskirts so we were away from the scumbags, and then lo and behold, they're here as well! I was away in Sheffield for Triples on Saturday night, otherwise I'd probably have heard them do it.
Guys if you want to see the show, here's a link I use.

Any who there is a new one up so I'm off to watch it with Dad ( he has the bigger tv) :)
