Hi all,
I'm starting a couple of 10 mm projects (Pendraken of course), French-Indian War and American War of Independence. My units will have four bases each and two for artillery batteries (Field of Battle and the upcoming Mustafa's Maurice are rulesets I will use). I was thinking to bases of 2 cm of front, with four foot in two ranks, one gun and crew and two mounted; or bases of 2,5 of front (1 inch), with six foot, again in two ranks, three mounted and again one gun with crew; deep could be 2 cm in both cases.
What's your advice? I'd like my bases could have a correct visual effect for the period but not be too crowded, with room enough for some scrubs or tufts.
Many thanks in advance and best regards,
Sandro

I base mine as set up here : >> AWI TEASER << (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,560.0.html)
sizes are :
Infantry : 20 x 20 (based in 4's)
Cavalry : 25 x 25 (based in 2's)
Skirmishers : 20 x 20 (based in 2's)
Artillery : 30 x 30 / 40 x 40 ( 3pdr / 6 pdr)
Command Units will be : 20mm Circular / 30mm Circular - not 100% sure yet....
I use Black Powder and British Grenadier, depending who my opponent is.
Sandro - Dazzas basing works well for AWI - it gives a good 'loose files' look. I'm not sure if that's the same for F&I though - were the set piece battles(as opposed to the woodland fights) fought in close order ?
I use those base sizes for 7YW Blackpowder and they are fine.
Infantry 4 to a base gives a "loose" look, 6 to a base a more solid line.
