Hi everyone,

I am completely  new to wargaming. My first project willl be the I. R. Nr. 4 Hoch- und Deutschmeister during the SYW.

I will use the 10 mm Pendraken Ausntrian Infantry.

My plan is to spray them black first and then start to paint them.

As I will order the miniatures directly from Pendraken I will use the paints they sell.

So my problem is, which paints do I need?

Of course black and white, but

what kind of white do I need to brush the uniform?

what ink do I need to brush the faces?

what blue comes nearest to that one on the uniform?

what brown and metallic paint do I need for the musket?

There are no specific colours to use, it's what ever looks right.

Make the Muskets a dark brown - Raw Umber or similar, and bayonets/swords a very bright metalic.

Pengel & Hurt quote 4 sources
for the facing colour. Two give dark blue, one
medium blue and one sapphire blue.
