Title: Un Google-able (sic)
Post by: Techno on 11 December 2011, 09:58:15 AM
Some questions from a pub quizmaster on the radio this morning....Which he designed so that people couldn't use Google to look up the answers...Bit of fun (maybe)
Some are a bit 'iffy' answer wise....Others are more like riddles...And there's one I want the answer to as I went back to sleep ;D ;D

1. What do Che Guevara, A bride (any bride) and Ant (from Ant and Dec) have in common ?
2. What is the link between the Works of Shakespeare, A baboon's bottom and a tomato ?
3.Which celebrity's name could be defined as.....A white flower and a hexagonal key ?
4. Which two Disney characters have names of the makes of cars ? (That's the one I went back to sleep on !)
5. What links a fish, the Statue of Justice and that awfully nice Mr Richter ?

Cheers - Phil (If anyone else heard it....And I've missed a question through dozing...Plonk it down !) ;)

Well done chaps......Right so far....

I think No.1 is definitely the 'iffiest' one.....Though Che G 'works' as far as the answer is concerned.....It's a tiny bit of a "Hang on...that doesn't really fit perfectly," to my mind.

Try replacing Che G with Motoring in the UK..... I think that might make more sense.....(Though personally I'd never have got the 'link' from 'Ant')

Cheers - Phil.

Gotta be Mini hasn't it ?

What's the other 'bogger' though.....Probably staring us in the face....If only I hadn't gone bye byes again.  :-[

Cheers - Phil....(Sod it I'll see if I can 'wiki' a list) ;)

Going thro' the list, I can find another 3 cars.....But as it's supposed to be a very well known character I'm going to discount Morgan Philip (Don't remember him at all)....and Zephyr, apparently from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Think of Winnie the Pooh..... and Sherwood Forest.....Same answer, different characters ;)

Cheers - Phil.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Its driving me mad not knowing though...

Interesting point though that facts are immediately available even in pubs.  The tinterweb and mobile technology has made us 'fact rich', and 'knowledge poor'.

Wikipedia shut down for 24 hours this week and i'd imagine there wasn't a single piece of school, college or university work done that day...nothing to cut and paste into an essay your see...

Huzzah !!

Yeah....
Mollinary has hit the nail on the head.....Still think it's just the tiniest bit iffy as an answer though.
