Post by: Urbinoprince on 09 November 2011, 04:38:11 PM
In the catalog which catalogue numkbers are the peasant VC and which ones are the NVA? Did I overlook the ARVN? montagnards?
In the Indochinese, woud anyone use them, if so which ones, as South Vietnamese Regional Forces? VC and NVA?   ARVN? montagnards? :-\
Are there any civilians? Water Buffalo?

Any assistance or sugestions would be most welcome to a newbie!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks Gordon  :)

Urbinoprince -I've used most of the Indo-China & Vietnam codes in my SE Asia forces:

Viet Cong: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,112.0.html

NVA: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,114.0.html

Civilians & water buffalo are in the Indo-China range: http://pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-c20/Indo-China-sc135/

I've used some as Tong in my Pulp Cultists too: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,2646.0.html

Nik can you remember what codes you used for your VC- I want to make them look quite different from the NVA.  I get that its the Indochina dudes but there's quite a selection. I was thinking would VM2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 work or is there any definitely to avoid.

Also Leon any chance of more civilians for Vietnam?  :D

Sorry mate - these were done before I was a disciplined-OCD-mofo and wrote everything down...

Funnily enough, it was a slew of questions about my Vietnam stuff & codes used that prompted me to become a disciplined-OCD-mofo...back in May 2007  <)

I've got lots of pictures of the Pendraken Vietnam stuff on my blog at http://dereksweetoys.com/?cat=17 (http://dereksweetoys.com/?cat=17)

In many cases the pics are captioned with figure codes.  Hope this helps.

Right any views on these figures for generic 'cliched' looking VC types.

For rifle men- VM2 Tu Ve, rifle, shorts, hat, running.   VM3 Tu Ve, rifle, scarf, bareheaded, walking . VM5 Bo Dai Phuong, Thompson SMG, bush hat

LMGs- VM11 Regional/Tu Ve LMG, prone, Vz 30 (Czech) VC10 LMG, Vz 30, kneeling, bush hat

Mortars- VM13 Regional/Tu Ve light mortar, 50mm type

Does this sound about right?
