Title: 2012 Noshers Lead Mountain
Post by: Nosher on 05 November 2011, 09:57:03 AM
Without even adding anything to the pile here's what I have lined up to paint in 2012 :o

I'm aiming to use this post to update on progress/excuses at least every month between now and December 2012 in the hope it will be easier to track. I will also add in anything I have missed as I stumble across it or as I get distracted by new shiny, shinys... ;)

I think item c) is aspiratioonal rather than a realistic target....

Yeah, c) just isn't going to happen unless you've joined some weird wargaming religious sect.

A mixed bag of fortunes this weekend - managed to somehow corrupt the original lead mountain challenge on my blog and had to re-input everything and then Sunday woke to find I had had a small win on the lottery which gave me an excuse to purchase some opponents for my Anglo-Danish SAGA warband and a new Cricket Bat :D

http://nosherswargames.blogspot.com/

Quite a bit of progress after a slow start. Angl0- Danes done and dusted as well as the remnants of a very large FPW 6mm collection I started over two years ago... Got some medievals done but still a bucketload to do.

Moving onto Ayyubid Egyptians next to take on my Crusaders. Want to get these started before the Warband arrives or I will get distracted.

FoG Napoloenic also on pre-order and hopefully the Falklands Range will be out later this year so need to get painting before any new armies get purchased :-[

FAIL!!!!!

How can one man have such weak willpower levels....

Still, at least its not all heresy, there's an order for some 10mm Napoleonic Loveliness thats just waiting to be processed once my back balance has recovered a bit... :-[

Finally finished the Ayubbids after an eighteen month love-hate relationship. LOVE the figures even though they are another manufacturers HATE(d) painting the feckers - far too many horses for my liking!

Apologies for the crap photos - had a dozen or so but :d Blogger :d wont let me upload the ten others =)

Quite a productive month because of the **** weather ruining the cricket season. Mixed blessings I guess :)

Done this month:
Finished the Ayubbids and the best part of some village vignettes using timecast buildings and pendraken trees (scroll down the page). Also began to tackle the forests - just flocking to do.

Next up????
I am toying with three projects:

a) Scots or Viking Warband for Saga to take on my Anglo-danes?
b) finish some 15mm AWI for a proper sized Maurice bash?
c) make a start on my 10mm French and Austrians for FoG?

Good to see progress, my vote for your next project would be slightly biased, so I'll leave others to vote there!

:D

I vote:

b) if you do it in a proper scale like 10mm

or

c) cos they're awesome figures  8)

Would love to do B in 10mm but being a tight yorkshire git I'm recycling some old 15's I have had knocking around for years. Not sure I could justify doing it in a different scale - financially or physically (starting all over again when I have 3/4 of a decent sized Maurice force in 15mm)
